Curtis
A thread for those curious about or with information about where past players are. I will start with what I am sure somebody should have information on and is quite relevant. A year ago Lee Barney scored the first Slough Town goal at Arbour Vale, a month later he was injured in a 3-0 home win against Biggleswade, in which he had scored. He never returned, and left us with an excellent goal scoring record of 15 goals in 31 appearances. Did he ever recover from his injury? Is he now scoring goals elsewhere? And if so, where? I did hear that he was supposed to get a scan done on his injury but never did. Shame because in the time he was at Slough he did look good. Reading Rebel
Lee Barney hasn't played since leaving. Perhaps he hasn't got over the injury. Still strange why he never got a scan at the time to see what the problem was. Certainly a waste of a talent.

Curtis
Reply from Lee Barney to Guy Hollis on Twitter 'Haven't played since ♂. Hoping to get back into it soon.' Excellent news, it would be great to see him back scoring goals, as long as it isn't against us!!
Irishadrian
Earlier I was reading Berkhamsteds report on their Tuesday game with Leighton Town (lost 1-2) and a name from the past popped up Dom Marsala now skipper of Leighton and scorer of their first goal! Curtis
It was great to hear that Lee Barney is back playing and has recently moved from Flackwell Heath to Marlow. What is Ryan Hope up to this season? He was our 2015/6 Young Player of the Year, but seemed to leave under a bit of a cloud, and then played at Hayes & Yeading and Kings Langley...... where is he this season??? He was our 2015/6 Young Player of the Year, but seemed to leave under a bit of a cloud, and then played at Hayes & Yeading and Kings Langley...... where is he this season??? Ryan is playing at Step 5 for Southall, after not quite making the grade at Hayes and Yeading and Harrow. Unfortunately he got given poor advice about what level he should be playing, however in the end his decision to leave was the right one as he would not have forced his way into the side last season, and would have probably fallen by the wayside after pre season. Curtis
Spartan South Midlands Division One from checking...... Step 6. He’s got to be way too good for that level hasn’t he Neil? Which might be part of the reason why they are top of their league with 13 wins and 1 draw from their 14 league matches?

3spirit
Step 5 possibly step 4 on a good day. I think Ryan Hope shouldn't be wrote off, just because he's dropped down to a lower level. He's got time on his side to land a better deal in the coming seasons. Personally I find him under rated. It really depends on what style of play you want to play and of course the standard of player you have at your disposal. While it is blatantly obvious that he was badly advised and got above his station when he was here at Slough, I believe had he not of been as rash, things may have materialised better for him. If I was running a Step 4 side, I would definitely take a chance on him. Surprised he hasn't been picked up by some team like Uxbridge or Marlow. He could easily do a good job for them. SloughFlyer
I think at step 5 he'll probably be the "star" he wants to be. At step 4, he'd be another player in the team as opposed to a stand out player. Saw him a bit last season for H+Y and dont really see the quality he needs to be better than your average non-leaguer. Plus, those clubs wont want the kind of high end agents fees he'll be commanding LOL!
Curtis
I think some of you are being a harsh..... the lad still isn’t even 21, and I think he could have the potential to improve significantly.
