Of course it's down to SBC but I'd think Steve made the statement probably based on what he's told by the Council/stadium manager.

I was shocked when I asked for a coke at the bar and was told it was £2. 

 

That's a 100% price rise from the friendlies !

Yes it was a 500ml bottle and not a 330ml can, but a 100% price rise on 51% more liquid.

Anything in bottles are normally dearer. Don't they have coke/pepsi on tap which in theory should be cheaper?

Had a burger on their opening day at one of the friendlies and it was like "crap-in-a box" - dry and tasteless - put it down to teething troubles, but looks like they are still as bad.

 

Looks like they are trying to cover the cost of buying the franchise from the council on the lines of buy rubbish and sell ridiculously expensive.

 

Now using the downstairs catering run by the club and the sausage rolls are far more tasty, fresh and better value.

I too had a burger at a friendly although i didn't see or probably can't remember seeing any branding (can you be sure it's the same guys?). Did remember thinking it was pretty tasteless and I wouldn't try them again. If it was Canapé Box then it's safe to say I won't try them until they significantly improve or new caterers are brought in. They need to do something fast or they're going to lose plenty of income especially on match days.

Probably safe to assume we receive no income from the canape box and maybe letting the club run the downstairs kitchen is the compromise? Just hope we receive all/majority of the profit as I'd certainly rather spend my money there.

First game I have been to this season and was charged £4 for a pint, was told that it was £3.5 for the friendlies. At £4 a pint that's dearer than the White Horse and they serve a proper pint of ale there. Also noticed that they didn't have a proper till, just cash in the box and no records of what was sold, also no price lists on display,not very professional.

I guess this contract was put out to tender? Doesn't seem a popular choice at all and not just the food by the looks of it. The council would be wise to have a word with them or they'll both lose out financially. Problem is they've no doubt signed a contract so we're going to have to put up with them at least this season.

They could (hope) be on a trial.

I don't drink as such, and I'm sure my son-in-law was charged 2 different prices at the same game not sure if it was the WBA or Met Police game.

pint+coke £4-20 and pint+coke £4-00.

The Moon and Spoon is still popular with slough supporters before and after games and a lot cheaper

As I said stick to the club kiosk downstairs , I got a tea, a coke , a large pasty , and two chocolate bars - five quid.
