Big Money Into 'Ricay

Old Hack

blue moon

i think you will find that no one is more pleased about this change than me. hopefully it will mean more money and success for the club.

i defend the previous chairman because i defend the club i support. at the end of the day rod has decided it is in the clubs best interests to sell his shareholding and i applaud him for that.

If you made the effort to speak to the people you have listed above, most of whom are about at virtually every match you would be able to find out what those people really think rather than the guesswork you have put above.

hope to see you on saturday

Defending someone who led the club to disaster does not make much sense to me. Fortunately there were people out there who could see a bigger picture. They understood that not only was change vital, but they could also see that there were interested parties who could and would lead a rescue program. Unlike the people named , who put their heads in their hands and moaned that there were no alternatives, these men took on the issues, and fought a tough battle to secure those changes. For sure those battles were fought thru this website, something which noone particularly liked. Unfortunately there was no realistic alternative, and it is fair to say that in this case the end justified the means.

Anyway, change is a fact of life and I repeat that I hope all concerned will unite for the battles ahead.

very good chaps, always remember, when the old hack appears there's always a scoop,

now you've got what you wanted, the clubs in safe hands, so get down there in your numbers on saturday and support the new chairman.

I'll be watching.

Today is the start of a new era for Billericay Town FC we cannot change what happenned in the past but must remember that when Rod was in charge the club achieved there highest ever league position.

Yes the last 12 months all round have been difficult we now have a new ambitious chairman on board and I personally feel the future looks good all round for BTFC.

So let's all stop moaning on this forum and use this energy to get behind the team and our new chairman by supporting the Blues on Saturday at home to Bedford.

Andy Turner

BTSA Chairman

'The futures bright the futures Blue and White'

(quote Like Rod I don't give a sh*te about BTFC, and like Rod I'm a shareholder and only there for the profit. quote)

So the big three got £130K. Didn't Rod do well!!

Always knew he only had the Club's interests at heart!!

Does anyone know how we smaller shareholders can get some of this deal?

This thread should be retitled "Big money out of Ricay". We all ignored Crispin and Westy when they told us the Officials were only in it for themselves. I guess this tells us they were right.....130,000 times; and that the new man has £130,000 less to spend on the Club

Let's hope Rod moves on to Canvey or Hornchurch and works the same brand of his magic there.

Don't worry Uncle, I'm sure when Mr. Kent gets to meet us he'll realise we're (mostly) a pretty positive bunch - you have to be to get through the year we just had without becoming suicidal!

Hopefully all those who have been staying away for whatever reason will pitch up tomorrow and get behind the lads - hopefully we can maintain our unbeaten start to 2004.

Well, what can I say Unc. I really don't think True Blue is as "True" as his name says. I think he is just one of those trouble makers that just want to stir it.

I've been out in the Town tonight, going round a couple of the pubs, finding out what the supporters think and answering what questions I can...first immpresions and all that and I can say that the general mood is that they're over the moon. To quote one, he feels that a "dark cloud is being removed from the club and it is now time to run it the way it should be". Some are pleased but cautious.

So Unc, the general mood is up, pleased and supportive. Unlike Mr. True Blue.

Me personally, I think it is the best New Years pressie the club has had for a long time and I for one will be right behind Steve Kent giving my every support.

You, Gazza,Andrew Turner,JL,Andy Walsh,Simon, and per Helge put up a valiant defence of Rod Moore and his officials, and I hope you will be men enough to admit you were wrong when you see the action plans of the new board.

And I hope you will be gracious towards the above named lads for attempting to hold the "supporters' side" of the club together, when all around were losing their heads; thereby helping make BTFC an attractive club to invest in.

Can't wait for those posts about us being the Ryman's Chelski!!

Well done. Good luck for the future. [Not for the 17th, though!]
