On paper this should be our easiest friendly but in reality it could still be a tough test. Our last pre season match with Windsor proved to be harder than expected with a very physical Windsor winning 4-1.

See I was right! Although I wouldn't say we played as well as we did v WBA. We did score some lovely goals tonight and as the score line suggests it was very comfortable. There were a couple of sloppy defensive lapses but nowt too much to worry about.

We ought to beat a team three divisions lower than Slough but what was noticeable was how good every Slough player was tonight,in terms of skill, strength and commitment.

After a slow start,we got into our stride and scored a couple of goals, which seemed to take the initial wind from the sails of a lively Windsor team.

As the game wore on, the gap in class between the sides was obvious, and what was pleasing Slough looked easily capable of raising their game up a few levels.

Manny Williams had another blinding game and for me was Slough's best player on the night.

Have a new nickname for Guy Hollis, that of 'The Tank'. He robustly smashes anything in his way and destroys the opposition !

He is not a dirty player but he sure is a strong one.

So glad he plays for our team.

The most pleasing aspect, apart from the scoreline, was the attitude of the players.

It would have been very easy for the players to take it a bit easy after the hard game against WBA but every player put a shift in and looked up for it.

Again some very good performances, some very good goals scored and most importantly by the sounds of it no injuries.

2 leagues below if Windsor are Hellenic Premier?

Yes tried to edit that from three to two, after realising my mistake when I was writing it but for some reason the site isn't functioning well and wouldn't let me. However Windsor are not one of the best sides in the Hellenic Premier, although I'm expecting an improvement from their form of last season in the Combined Counties, I don't see them as promotion candidates and were hardly a match for our boys tonight, as you rightly pointed out, Glen.

Another good pre-season win, the players have been performing well and hopefully they can transfer this to the start of the League campaign.
