Good Luck Crossy

Recommended Posts

Just come from the Capital League game (Billericay 1, Hornchurch 1) and had a chat with Tony Cross after the game.

Some sad news I'm afraid, Tony has been offered the post of 1st team manager at Great Wakering and he has accepted the job. He said it was a tough decision as his heart is with Billericay Town but he is ambitious and wanted to move forward.

Me, personaly, can understand that sentiment and I thank Crossy for all he has done for the 1st team and the reserves and wish him all the best at Great Wakering. I hope all our supporters wish him the same.

Good luck mate and hope to see you soon. Don't be a stranger.

Something Crossy impressed on me and I forgot to put it in my original post is that he would like to thank ALL the supporters for their support and he wishes everyone at BTFC all the best for the future.

Me personally, I'm sorry to see him go. He certainly is a character and a general all round good bloke. Once again, good luck for the future and thanks for all he has done.

You really don't read these posts do you. Let me explain...

HE. IS. AMBITIOUS. AND. CAN. SEE. NO. WAY. THAT. HE. WILL. BE. FIRST. TEAM. MANAGER. AT. BILLERICAY. ALTHOUGH. HE. LIKES. BILLERICAY. HE. WANTS. TO. GET. THE. CHANCE. OF. FIRST. TEAM. MANAGEMENT. SO. HE. HAS. ACCEPTED. THE. FIRST TEAM. JOB. AT. GREAT. WAKERING.

Do understand now. Jeeeezzzz.

I would like to go on record and pass on my thanks to Tony Cross for the hard work he has done at Billericay supporting Justin on match days and for the successes he has had to date with the reserves.

I am sad to see Tony leave but wish him well in his new post as Manager of Great Wakering Rovers but know that he will be looking for Billericay's and Spurs results every weekend.

Good luck to you and your family and keep in touch Tony.

Me too

You only have to lokk at the improved showing from the reserves this season to see how well Tony has done, even more so considering its a very young side he has put out.

Sorry to see you go mate n good luck (except against us of course)
