Capital League - Billericay Town 1 Hornchurch 1

[Urchins]

It wasn't a great game but it was at times bruising and a draw was probably a fair result.

 

We started well but Billericay took the lead after 30 minutes through Simon Deakin and held it until half time. We equalised 1 minute into the second half from an own goal from a corner after which Billericay had a good spell, Dave McCartney making a couple of great saves and Sam Williams clearing a corner off the line. We probably had the better possession for the last half hour but we couldn't penetrate and the game finished with honours even.

 

Line-up:- McCartney, Williams, Heathcote, Neville, Gooding, Cowley (Marler 45 (Field 54)), Macitu, McGowan, Holland (Doyle 83), A Martin, Bradley. Subs not used:- Smith, White.

I did my best to cheer our mighty Urchins on! Surrounded by Blues I was - quite a few looks and a couple of comments but I've survived to cheer another day!
