STEVE BROWNE SACKED BY BOREHAM WOOD

Recommended Posts

Saw it in their forum, and is confirmed on their website:

Official Club Statement

Due to recent performances and non-attendance at the league fixture against Great Wakering Rovers, Steve Browne has been released of his managerial duties with immediate effect.

Unless forced to do so, Boreham Wood FC will not be making any other statement.

So for those who called for Browne back, your wish may just come true ! <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Im sure people will be shaking in their boots reading that last posting

Interesting... I know who I would like to have back, but I wonder if others would agree with me. Dean Palmer for one, as he always looked purposeful when going forward, even if he did trip over his own feet occasionally - at least he wanted to attack; Veli Hakki for obvious footballing reasons; and Byron Bubb (was he even at Boreham Wood?) because when he's good, he's very good, and OK when he's not interested he can be anonymous, but God knows we need a winger or two right now. The question is, if any of these players are available,

a) would Denton want to sign them

B) could he afford to sign them

c) would they want to come back after walking out in the Summer

d) would all the fans want them back?

Would rather have Gilkes than Townsend

I would take Palmer, because we dont have a Right Back, and also Hakki, because Wilko and Williams are both not good enough.

Cj, like Williams, was crap when last at the club and i dont want him back, like Williams. No Loyalty, just interested in the Money. Dont want Bubb either.

CJ and Bubb are worse than Williams so they can stay away. I'd have Palmer and Hakki back especially as Palmer seems to have worked out where the goal is rather than the advertising hoardings. Might have to start working on that stupid CHARGE noise again!

I can understand the negativity towards Bubb but we do badly need a winger. If somebody could shove a rocket up Bubb's a*se before every game to get the best out of him, then he'd be the ideal signing. I just think we could do with his creativity, because he single-handedly destroyed some teams (remember Canvey in the Cup?) and can create a killer pass when others can't.

I was only voicing my opinion, and i believe, that is what forums are for? Or is it suddenly against the law?
