Travel to Kettering - Sat 31st Jan

Recommended Posts

On Saturday 31st January we travel to Kettering in the league to visit a ground many of us have not been to before or not for many years.

The BTSA will be looking to run a coach to this match and will be taking bookings at Saturday's home game against Bedford.

Kettering is approx 100 miles from Billericay and if travelling by car a round journey of 200 miles will cost you in the region of £20 in fuel. Kettering is accessable by train from St Pancras and a saver return on the day costs £35.40 return if you have a travelcard will cost you £23.45 return.

The BTSA can offer you a much cheaper option and way to travel by executive coach with costs for Members Adults only £10, Concessions £7 and a special rate of £15 for a family members ticket (1 Adult & 1 Concession). Non Members are welcome to travel and costs can be obtained from the club shop or by calling myself.

We will be looking to depart New Lodge at 11.30 with a stop on the way and would plan to be at Kettering between 14.00-14.30 and will start our return journey at 17.30.

Seats can be booked at the club shop or by contacting myself Andrew Turner on 07889 516922.

With nearly 50% of the seats booked for the Coach to Kettering I am pleased to announce that the BTSA will be running a Coach to Kettering.

I am confident that the remainder seats will be booked up in the coming days so don't delay book today so not to miss out.

The Coach will leave New Lodge at 11.30 and will cost for BTSA Members Adults £10, Concessions £7 and our Special Members Family ticket for 1 Adult and 1 Concession £15. Non Members are welcome to travel at a cost of Adults £15 and Concessions £10 price includes Membership fees. Join before the day and you will be charged Members prices and overall save you £1.

Full details and bookings can be obtained / made by contacting myself on 07889 516922.

Hello Andy

Just some info for you as I went to Kettering the other week.

Nice ground, but they will probably ask your fans to go behind the goal, some of ours went in the stand at a cost of £10.50.

Progis are £2.00 each and a good read.

There is a Macd's there with a bowling alley, but the Poppies bar offers a very hospitable welcome, 2 tellies and good service.

Overall very impressive as they are geared up for Coni football.

OK, see you Sat mate

regards

Please note that the date for this game may be changed as Kettering are still in the FA Trophy and have a replay on Tuesday 13th Jan at Woking and if successful will be away to Burton Albion in the 4th Round which takes place on the 31st January which I was not aware of until this morning when I saw the draw.

Watch this space and results for more news.

So the ryman league cocked up on their fixture lists again? surely they know the dates of fa competitions before sorting out fixtures and could arrange some more 'local' games for clubs on these dates, in case of a draw?

so not only do we have to travel to bedford on a teusday night - we may also face going to kettering on a tuesday also!

No wonder league attendances are down if you have to travel 200 miles on a tuesday evening to see your team play <img src="/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />

Fair point Martin. but we are Ryman league and not conference and if we end up playing kettering on a tuesday it would have been something easily avoided.

Come on Woking!

when you do manage to get to kettering.

the clubhouse is fairly grotty although pleasant enough. but would recommend the bowling alley next door they know what a vodka red bull is at least = the burgers are better in the wimpy than in the away end
