Wycombe Wanderers (H) - Saturday 8th July - ALL TICKET

Recommended Posts

The Wycombe friendly has been made all ticket match, with anyone who has already bought a season ticket still getting free entry.

There will be segregation in place with each set of supporters getting roughly half the ground each. Slough will get the main stand and the southern end (st joes car park end)

This will be a great chance for the club to have a practice of another all ticket match but also test out possible segregation.

Not sure Wycombe will sell out half the ground (around 1,000) as to them it's no big deal/game. I wonder if the segregation can be altered depending on sales as if Wycombe only sell 400 and Slough sell out it'll be a lot of lost money and upset people.

Wycombe have been allocated 500 tickets.

Just read the below on their official website. So they have all the seats in the East Stand but only 250 terrace spaces in the North Stand which is just over a quarter of that ends capacity? But then I read they have access to the downstairs bar/kitchen.

The fixture marks the official opening of the Rebels’ new Arbour Park stadium, which will have a maximum capacity of 1,400 for this match. Wycombe have been given a total allocation of 500 tickets in the North and East Stands – 250 for unreserved seating and 250 for standing – which will be available to purchase through Wanderers’ ticket office.

Why is the capacity still 1,400? Unless it's dreaded red tape holding it up we should surely be testing the ground at 2,000 capacity especially as we could attract this level of crowd v Wycombe.

Glen as far as I know there is no red tape, the ground capacity is just under 2,000 so can't see why the capacity is 1,400 for this game.

Probably for the same reasons as our first game there.

It will be the first time the stewards and volunteers will have worked at the full complex, and the first with segregation.

So a lower number would be a good test for a near capacity later on.

That's my guess

The right up say's Slough supporters won't have access to the downstairs bar/kitchen.

So I assume that due to segregation Wycombe supporters will only have access to the temporary downstairs bar/kitchen.

i hope this game going all ticket doesn't affect the gate. Not quite sure why it has gone to all ticket as only a friendly, with the reasoning being 'testing' out segregation for when we do get a big cup game (oh, how I used to enjoy the big FACup days from Wexham Park days).

Typically when segregation is used now you have a limited attendance. Having all ticket ensures you stick to that limited attendance.

It will also be interesting to see the average attendances at our home friendlies as usually only a few people have been to away friendlies since we have been homeless.

There is a real bonus for the club People who dont normally go to football matches can see the wonderful new stadium we now play at and its facilities whilst seeing a game against old rivals for a maximum of £6

So is the reason for having segregation to test it out for the possibility of needing it at a future date? It's a friendly and I doubt very much if segregation would be needed.

Bit of a pity for the Wycombe fans being restricted to the makeshift bar/kitchen.

It's that or nothing as they can't use the clubhouse if it's a segregated match. No need to roll out the red (or blue!) carpet for them! We want to impress the people who've not experience AP/Slough Town yet in the hope they come back. Also wondering if actual proper segregated fencing is being installed or it'll just be a line of stewards?
