Theodopolous
If we take it that Ricky and carl will soon be joining Quinton that leaves Tyler Harry Bobby Nathan Nigel and Darnell left to commit out of last years squad ....Why are people panicking ? vauxhallman
True commitment from Mark and Mickey. Well done you two and thank you.COYT.
SeasideTowner
Very pleased with this as I thought Mickey was narrowly pipped to player of the season by Billy Crook.
4wembleyfinals
Have to agree with you LS the two Ms were the two who I wanted most to stay.
53 seasons
If he can keep free of injuries, Mickey can only improve at his age, whereas Billy is at his peak. We have kept the two who show the greatest passion for the Club, which is what we want. Hoping to see others, particularly Tyler, join them soon. andyetfc
The issue I have with players leaving is that they 'played for the club', a special club, which was different to most. They played for the best fans around and were acknowledged as special players by some. They showed loyalty. What happens? They move on, normally for more money and are soon forgotten about and those who stay are 'loyal players'. It's a funny old game?

The players that left the club showed they are more loyal to the previous manager and/or a club they have previously played for (ie-Braintree fc)..With regard to some players that have left,it is not the first time they have chosen to leave our club only to return a few months later. The players that have chosen to stay by definition have shown more loyalty to the club than those that have chosen to leave. Theodopolous
It's no secret that Kirbs and Quinton didn't really get along so he was never going and as for Micky he was struggling to get a game at the end of the season ...would he have gone if Quinton or another club paying more had wanted him ?? It would be nice to think he wouldn't but nothing suprises me anymore... money nearly always comes before football

Players sing the praises of their fans and club, but when the opportunity arises they move on. It will be interesting to see how they get on at a higher level of football when in fact they didn't manage to get there by winning the Ryman league or the play offs. vauxhallman
Theodopolus. Got to disagree with you mate im affraid. Really think you should get the facts before writing. Mickey played out of his skin in the semi final play off did he not. As for brad not playing him i think your find there was a medical problem with mickey which brad monitored and looked after him by omitting him from games. Also Mickey had offers from conference sides but decided to stay at the Town that shows he loves the club and total respect for that. So i think before you start moaning about Brad check the facts he is a very decent human being.
Theodopolous
Sorry Vauxhallman but I'm not sure what facts were wrong Quinton and Kerbs didn't get on which I'm sure you know because you told me ?...And at no point did I say Bradley Quinton was not a decent human being....in fact I didn't moan about him at all so don't understand that .... and I wasn't knocking Micky who I like as a player I just asked the question if he would have gone to Braintree if he was asked... if you know he has turned Braintree down that answers my question and I thank you for that... vauxhallman
Theodopolus as brad brought Mickey from Torquay i would imagine that Brad has approached Mickey to move to Essex with him,but as i said Mickey is a true Towner and loves the club,Money does not always talk mate. See you next Thursday.
Theodopolous
Theodopolus you have been rumbled, you little rascal?. ?..... I was hoping you would catch on ... hope everything is good with you.... I am delighted Micky is staying... I wasn't really questioning his loyalty but after seeing our whole team disappear including players with a lot less ability than him it did come as a surprise .... vauxhallman
In fairness to Brad he has taken with him players he actually signed for the Town.not saying thats right and i cant get my head around why brad choose to sign both our left backs. So there loyalty has proven to be with brad and not the town, not saying thats right eitherI believe the exception to that is Mickey who to his credit is remaining loyal to the town. See you at the meeting Thursday.?
