I have never or never will be a fan of appointing a manger from within, because what changes? Eddie was coach before, so I guess the coaching methods are the same as when Steve Browne Was here, The only thing that changes is the formation, and as everyone can see, we are playing a formation that the players can`t play!

A new manager brings fresh ideas, fresh players and also the players would be on their toes as they would all need to show the manager what they can do rather than living on past glories. Walton appointed a manager who would have been ideal for Slough Town in Ian Hazel, he has managed a few clubs at this level so has player contacts at this level.

I wanna no why it took so long for Denton to make 1 change so late in the game, also why he didnt bring Freddie on to do something in midfield.

 

Denton should really take note of whats being said on this forum.

Slough need a centre forward? I think the defence and midfield is waht Eddie needs looking at, not the front line. Last night we resorted to long ball for most of the game and it hardly came as a surprise that Matt Miller didn't win much in the air (though the lad did score with his head).

 

Goals have dried up in the last four matches because the team as a whole has been playing poorly and the lack of creativty has been stark. I can feel myself getting suckered into Radder's argument about Spencer which is not good but the downtown in form coincides with Ryan's injury and the midfield has been deft of ideas since.

 

We don't need a new forward. Hodge Miller and Boot will score us goals. But they can't if the midfield are not supplying them with chances or if our ropey backline resorts to long ball which clearly doesn't suit our personnel.
