Fights with the Rich and Famous

The late lamented Oliver Reed !

Well, it wasn't exactly a fight - He used to live at Broome Hall, a huge country house 5 miles south of me.

I went into the local curry house to collect a take-away and he was in there with his brother and Catherine, (Wife), and a friend. totally pi**ed, (what else ?)

ANYWAY - Me being 6ft-2", he decided to have a playfight with me, even though he was wearing a kilt at the time. I ended up with my head embedded in polystyrene tiles in the ceiling after he flifted me up.

Still got his autograph on an Embassy No1 fag packet upstairs. A prized possession. Sadly missed. A real mans man !!

Going back to what you were saying about the Horn of Plenty, one of the blokes I work with, who is called Leigh, claims his mother run the pub during the period you were talking about. Lets just say it sounds like his kind of parentage!!

Famous people I have met:

1.Tony Hart in the Harlequin shopping centre in Watford.

2 Samantha Janus in Costa

3. Some bloke who used to do the outside broadcasts on the Big Breakfast- In Costa( and he was really rude, 'cos he was talking on his phone while I was taking his order!)

4. Kym Marsh and Jack Ryder- in Costa

5. That bloke who played Tom in Eastenders(Sharon's Boyfriend? Had a brain tumour and died in a house fire?) in the St. Albans market.

6. Some kids author whose name I can't remember- at School.

7. Tony Benn-at a sociology conference.

8. Paul from S Club 7.

That's about it really- rubbish!

I've met sh*tloads of celebs one way or another. Not quite sure how I've managed to tot up so many, although alot of them are professional footballers.

Gary Lineker, Siobhan Donaghy, Darren Anderton, Ian Beale, ex-Beatle Pete Best, Stephen Merchant from the Office, John Motson, Geoff Hurst to name just a few...
