Pre season Froendlies

Congratulations to Neil and Jon putting together a good pre-season fixture list. There are the 2 games against league opposition and of course the WBA fixture is a brilliant one for our Kev's testimonial. As Neil states we are also usefully playing clubs at our level plus Wealdstone from National South. There are then 2 fixtures away to lower level clubs. A good mix. COYR!

So pleased that Super Kev has got the kind of opposition his serice and dedication to everything and everyone Slough Town Fc deserves.  Even giving treatment and advice to supporters is not beneath him.  Always has a friendly smile for everyone.  Just hope I can get one of the tickets, as guess they could become like gold dust.

Confirmed as a first team fixture on the West Brom website as promised by Kempy when we spoke with him.

They will split the squad between us and Bristol Rovers evenly, and will also do the same on 2 other dates, where they split between Burton and Walsall, and Port Vale and Kidderminster.

This after they have been on a tour of Austria and Hong Kong.

In this day and age it is rare to get anywhere near a Premier League team, so to get a first team squad come to us should make it an amazing day at a full Arbour Park, to celebrate an incredible man.

The Wycombe fixture is also an absolute cracker, and from the get go was always the one we wanted for the opening, what with the old rivalry, location between the two clubs, and the fact they will bring a full first team with them.

Hopefully you guys are happy with these, at the same time we still need to gear us up for a season in the Southern Premier, and I think the other 6 fixtures really allow us to do that.

Bakes and Unders well done for arranging a fantastic set of pre-season friendlies especially with WBA and Wycome bringing first team squads to Arbour Park. They should be crackers especially the WBA testimonial for the legend that is super Kev!

BTW, I see Innsy (that's for you Sue ) won the supporters and Directors player of the season last season at the tender age of 34, what an excellent signing.

Any chance of getting Rob Tolfrey between the sticks   :D

The list of friendlies makes it feel as if the season has started a few weeks early. Nice to get a few friendlies at home for a change. Well done to Bakes and Unders for such a great selection.

WBA at home for Kev's testimonial is a fantastic game for a fantastic person. Wouldn't it be great if we were to see some of the other managers that have worked with Kev over the many years on the day.

Can anyone name them all?

I hope super Kev has a  fantastic day.

I would think and hope the WBA game sell out with capacity at just under 2,000 with it being a PL side plus a testimonial. Although the Wycombe match should draw 1,000+ not sure it'll sell out as it's a more attractive fixture for us rather than their fans.
