Hey, AFF

Recommended Posts

a) I'm talking about AFF PLC Head Office although a second, additional board could be placed in a prime location in Sticksville if necessary. I'll be able to check that one on my way to work in the mornings here in Stickhampstead.

As for Working Committees I'm confused.

What's the difference?

The programme definately said "Committee".

How often do you meet?

Does membership entitle you to free match entry?

Hi Laz.

The country seat is AFF Towers. H.Q. of the organisation is AFF Tower and it is in the City Centre.

Don't overly concern yourself with the nomenclature of the small but perfectly formed group of people what have met a couple of times at the request of The Chairman to make various recommendations with regard to various issues relating to The Club. ['Need to know' basis at this preliminary stage.]

The Chairman's notes in a recent matchday programme, and also the interview with the Chairman of Vice in the Aylesbury programme referred to a 'Committee' and the inference was that one had been formed. A small error in my view although of very little consequence in the broad scheme of things. The small group were a working party as a potential pre-cursor to the formation of a Committee.

I hope that has cleared things up.

Apologies Laz. I overlooked one question in your message.

No, attendance at the Working Party does not permit free entry to games. Nor will membership of any Committee if, indeed, a Committee is to be formed.

I can confirm, however, that the Report submitted to the Board by the Working Party made reference, 'inter alia', to freeloaders in less than complimentary terms and the strength of feeling concerning such persons. Some things might be about to change.

GHA, you freeloading, tax-dodging student, how are you? Have you had to go to any lectures yet, or are you still enjoying a two-month seasonal break?

AFF, this committee then, how often does it meet? Is membership exclusive to those who have too much spare time and enjoy writing lengthy reports which are ignored?

Hi Laz.

Here we go again. It's not a Committee. It doesn't 'meet' on a regular basis. As a first step, a small but perfectly formed group met as a working party. It produced a paper for consideration by The Board.

Now. The Board may say "Is that the best you people can come up with?". It may say "What a load of rubbish. You people haven't got a clue." In which case it is rather unlikely that the Working Party will re-convene but I will bear your interest in mind if it does, Laz.

Alternatively, the Board might say "Absolutely fanastic, chaps. Brilliant. That is the way forward. How about creating a small but perfectly formed Committee to implement all of your marvellous ideas and recommendations and for starters stop the freeloaders. If you can get our red tractor and the carved pumpkin back it's a bonus".

If that is the case, Laz, a Committee may, indeed be formed to do just that.

I just looked on the website and wondered if someone can confirm the forthcoming fixtures...

1. This Thursday at home to Peterborough? As mentioned in the news articles.

2. This Saturday away to Hitchin?

3. Next Tuesday away to Purfleet? As listed on the fixtures page.

You haven't been following the discussion, Laz.

In order to encourage support, details of fixtures will only be made available to card carrying members [don't forget your password] at 10.30 am and 4.00 pm each weekday.

Unlike the owner of Kwik-E-Mart [great episode that one] each member will only be allowed one question.

This is what the site says:

[color:"blue"] Tonight's friendly against a Peterborough United XI has been called off due to a frozen pitch and will now be played on Thursday 8th January 2004. [/color]

Put yourself in the position of someone who has not read this forum. It would appear that the game is on.

Perhaps a new article should be added saying roughly what you have said above, Webbo.
