Ok, I've been very quiet over the last two weeks, possibly because I've not been at work, but now I'm back and have a few things to say.

The Windsor result was disappointing but did not come as a surprise. It pains me to say it but they are a better team than us and will finish above us in the league for the first time in god knows when, or failing god John Tebbit might know.

Top 6 has to be the priority now and we are in a good position at the half way point in the season to make sure we get one of those places.

January is looking a tough month and will go a long way to decide where we will finish this season. Worthing home and away, Hampton, Walton will be difficult matches, not that I'm overlooking Tooting or the Casuals as they will provide challenging opposition. We've not done very well against top 10 opposition so far and so getting results against Hampton and Worthing will be crucial, not least as we don't want to be playing catch with them later in the season.

It doesn't appear as if the squad will be strengthened in the near future so we will need Eddie and Michael to get the best out of the boys. Spencer's injury is a big blow but hopefully this will give Chopper a run in the side as some of his cameo performances from the bench have been encouraging and we will need his creativity to provide chances for the forwards to get back to scoring ways. With Haddow coming back from injury I hope he will inject some life into the midfield.

And so to Walton on Tuesday. Its a bit of a shame that there won't be Fatty Batty to wind up straight after Christmas but never mind. It will be a difficult match we've struggled to find the net in the last three matches after hitting seven against Epsom. [****!!****] stadium and [****!!****] atmosphere beckon but at least we don't have to pay the full whack to get in. Bring your voices and running gear as I think we should put on some athletics at half time for the sake of entertainment. I think myself and Radders will have a hard fought contest in the hammer, whilst Liam and Dom with Javelins is a scary proposition.

Up the Rebels.
