It was good fun at Stevenage.

 

We arrived after about 20 minutes, and as we were making our way up the stand, a few of the Farnborough fans thought we were Stevenage fans storming their end!

 

We were the only ones doing any singing though. We practically made Farnboro's second goal all by ourselves!!

I saw Costello the other night. He told me all about it. I understand a certain council member was at the game.

He was, yes!

 

Stevenage scored their first two goals really early, before we got there, and then scored their winner right at the end after we'd left.

 

Farnborough kept a clean sheet while we were there - perhaps they'd like to pay for our support at future games??

BTW There are no trains from Hatfield past Welwyn on Saturday so you need to get a train from Hatfeild to Welwyn then a replacement bus service to Stevenage then another train.

 

I'll just jump on the train from Finsbury Park as I'll be at work, they go direct to Hitchin, it's the slow ones that don't.

Nah, we'll just get a bus direct from St Albans, I reckon. There are about three an hour.

Bus to Hitchin is only £3 each.

 

Two people can travel on a £6 Explorer ticket.

Well Tom will come I should imagine, Pete better come. Trev and Libro have an advantage they can get a train there as the fast ones are running, they also have a 2nd advantage in that they can meet me first.

No danger of us having a dry journey, JK!!

 

Used to do the bus journey all the time, when Mrs Zeal was living in Hitchin. The one via Hatfield and Stevenage takes an age, but the 304 (I think) via Kimpton and St Pauls Walden etc. only takes about 45 minutes.
