INs and OUTs

Welcome to the rebels Jack Turner, another great signing by our gaffers.

Yes.  Best of luck to Jack.

He certainly has a hard act to follow, that of Mark Scott.

Will be interesting to compare the qualities of each one, as both are considered to be up there with the best of each division [ Southern and Ryman Premier].

Looks like it was Flood then who had the interest from clubs higher up as he's just tweeted saying "Always nice to have interest from other clubs but I'm contracted to @sloughtownfc for another year ️? big promotion push hopefully!! ?"

As we have a lot of good players I would be surprised if clubs haven't shown an interest in most of them. COYR

With three good signings in the bag would it be fair to say that our next targets are proving more difficult to get on board due to players wanting to keep their options open?

Think the management probably want to keep the others closer to their chest, in case they do not materialise,or other managers try turning their head.

The three we've already announced, we are probably going on trust that they will keep their word and stay with us.

Every player you sign on you take on trust because they can have their heads turned and change their minds at anytime.

Not sure why any future signing would be any different.

Perhaps the real reason is that these other signings are 'major coups' and it's best to keep quiet until the players have either made up their minds or their intentions are forced by their current clubs.

Funny you should ask that, I've just had confirmation this evening from one of our targets that he has agreed to sign.

Look out for the announcement....

He looked like a very good player against us in January, but seems he picked up a meniscus injury a few weeks later, had keyhole surgery in late March and missed the remainder of the season.... it would be interesting to hear if he is still recovering or fully recovered now.

In my opinion, if fully fit he is a fantastic addition as an attacking central midfielder or striker.
