Whitley Bay
Why? Presumably because not enough officials are available? Bring back Mick Ewen........
Dailydose
Presumably because not enough officials are available? Bring back Mick Ewen........ Brilliant! There's always one! Perhaps I should have made the point more clear. At this level to have that amount of officials unavailable is really acceptable, isnt it? The counties have had all week to find replacements, local football, other counties can be contacted to bring replacements. .....I get the impression at this stage of the season they shrug their shoulders and expect teams to cope. tringarmy
Lucky the SSML doesn't have two reserve leagues still going today otherwise it would be even worse
Whitley Bay
Lucky the SSML doesn't have two reserve leagues still going today otherwise it would be even worseExactly. And in the main, all Division Two fixtures had three officials under Mick Ewen , even though there were more Reserve / Development Division games requiring referees. Players play for managers they like, why should it be any different for referees?

Beds County League is step 7 and they don't have assistants,so Div 2 has no divine right to always have them. Dare say a few more step 7 leagues are in the same boat. Dailydose
Beds County League is step 7 and they don't have assistants,so Div 2 has no divine right to always have them. Dare say a few more step 7 leagues are in the same boat. Divine right? No mention of that in my previous message. If they are available. There are plenty of counties to ask. Very strange response
Munchkin
The difference is the Beds county league don't set the standard there will be 3 officials. The Herts county league have 3 so evident some step 7 do and some don't. Ssmfl Division 2 is supposed to.
