Leamington Playoff Semi Final

Recommended Posts

We booked up one full coach for the trip to Leamington before the game yesterday (in fact all 3 options had a full coach before the game!), however an extra coach will be provided should there be sufficient demand.  If you haven't booked a place, please do so as soon as possible.

One offs decided on the night. Final at the home of the highest placed team.

Which means that whilst the cost of scoring both penalties on Saturday would have been an away semi to Merthyr the cost of not winning is that we cannot possibly be at home in the final if we get there.

I saw somewhere that there's limited parking at Leamington - anyone know how difficult it will be. The 665 in our game there was their 3rd biggest of the season (after local matches with Stratford and Banbury) but sadly I couldn't make that game.

Car park is much bigger than a lot of teams in our league. I'm sure if organised properly there shouldn't be too huge an issue.

Ground is a bit in the middle of nowhere so you would hope Leamington have some sort of alternative plans if car park gets full.

Of course really depends on how many people are likely to turn up. No clue how many it may be

They're organised a park and ride from the train station, look on their website. Hard to predict the crowd but you'd think it'll be hovering around the 1,000 mark and we'll probably take 150-200.

Saw that - Dad's a bit infirm and son lives in Leamington would you believe so driving to ground much the best option.Wondered if anyone could recall how full ground got with 665 there. I agree 1200ish is likely crowd.

pretty sure there was a fair bit of room left although admittedly we got there fairly early and the home fans weren't hanging around considering we'd won 6-0  :D so car park was fairly empty by time we got out the ground

I think we need to bring back the song that we used a lot in the playoffs last time, the Slade "come on make some noise..." one. We never really used it in normal league matches but it was a great one to just start and repeat many times.

Also, it would be good if we could gather together before the game to make noise as the team come out. It may be tricky to get under cover if there's a big crowd but hopefully we can get as many people as possible together to make plenty of noise.

An update from Leamington on the parking and park & ride for tomorrow's game.  Make sure you plan ahead and do not assume there will be parking at the ground.
