Apart from the usual freebies Banbury charged all adult paying customers £5 today which resulted in a crowd of 740.

two teams competing for the play offs with a reduced entry ended up with a gate of 40 less than us charging full rate and with hardly any away fans. Shows Slough are doing very well and really getting ourselves known to the local communities.

Hopefully the team use this to really make a go of the last section of the season.

Personally if I was in charge it'd be an opportunity to see who really wants it.

A promotion would do the club wonders, fingers crossed all goes well!

So we know a win a draw is enough to secure at least 5th place. Not even going to try and predict the scores as it really could go any way, 3rd place is still possible but that would be dependent on other results.

Banbury are away to Leamington on Monday. Leamington, who are not in great form themselves are already guaranteed a place in the play-offs and only need a point to have a home draw in their semi final.

Having said that, as Unders has already stated we have to stand up and be counted and cannot keep expecting other teams to do us a favour.

The voice of reason speaks and I agree. My rant was basically a "if we blow it from here....." my concern is that this, on paper, was the easiest game we had left and we utterly utterly screwed it. Have to agree with the Nathan webb comment it's square pegs in round holes if he is part of the strongest xi then we need to change formation, go narrow and have dobbo in front of a midfield 3.

Nathan didn't have a very good game yesterday but then who did? I'm glad I wasn't picking the Slough man of the match !

When he plays in centre of midfield he is good in the pass and move play and setting up our attackers.

There were numerous ways of changing our fortunes in relation to how we were playing but even if we had done any of them, there's no guarantee that they will work.

I thought ' Putts' did relatively well on the right side when he came on but for me I would have put Josh Jackman on the right and put Putts out on his favoured left wing and moved Dobbo up front.I would have gone 3-1-4-2 and kept Nathan on with Dunny central and pushed Togs to a deeper role. With Smart and Flood making way.

Even if we had done this, we could still have lost. It's always a risk.

Sometimes it's just not your day, whatever you do.

Anyway the game is now history and we still have a great chance of making the play offs. Both Chesham and Redditch are beatable. Both are on a poor run of form themselves, so I still have faith that we can put them to the sword.

COYR.

'Nathan didn't have a very good game' is probably the understatement of the season but as you say who did.

lose they are a bunch of """""""'s !  ha ha ha !

Another defeat to a team well below us.No playoffs for us now such a shame as it was easily in our hands to even win the league awhile back. Great crowd as well lets hope they keep turning up.Also cannot blame the pitch this time so is it a mental thing I wonder.
