I suppose it depends if the council or club are paying it or they may share the costs. I'd personally be disappointed if no live football on TV was available as I would visit the bar (and in turn spend more money) a lot more often. This also brings up the age old question if or what income the club takes from food and drink takings?

 

 

The age old question that we will never be told the answer to.

Personally I would be surprised if very much profit is made at all on the bar and food on attendances of an average of 600, on 25+ home matches a year, where the bar is open for 5 or 6 hours...... so I'm just going to enjoy the facilities regardless of who's running it.

 

If I really had an issue over wanting to ensure putting my money in the Clubs coffers on match day then I spend it on a programme, Golden Goal ticket, pasty and a cup of tea.

Obviously not all 600+ are going to spend money on drink and/or food but let's say 300 do regularly at an average spend of £5. Even at £1 profit per person could add upto £7,500 over 25 games, not an amount to be dismissed is it? (Ooop sorry Susie!!!).

I don't know, but as a general rule I would assume anything run by Club representatives is generating funds for the Club..... I think Arbour Vale is a fantastic facility, and IF the Council are taking the risk and trying to make some money out of the bar and food then best of luck to them.

 

I'm much happier about seeing Club advertising hoardings around the pitch this season..... I don't recall seeing many of them last season.

On a slightly different topic hopefully the club have been successful in finding a sponsor or funding for home games to be filmed, maybe we'll hear something or just wait until the first game to see.

 

Don't forget the lasagna Glen. We demand answers!
