i think as we are there highest profile user and possibly there most regular user as well as there first user, i think sbc could give us a little bit of preference as far as facility improvements go that is not to say that i am not grateful for what they  have already given us,but we are an advert for this town all over the country, appearing in national media etcwhich can only be good , we should give visiting teams and their officials something to be jealous of and want to come back, in short an experience that they will greatly enjoy, and also something that local companies would want to invest in..

There should be an electronic score board because St Neots has one

There should be multiple food outlets because Hereford has them

There should be large screens to review play as premiership teams have them

There should be goal line technology

There should be a roof like the millennium stadium

There should be………..

Or just be grateful for what we have got and are back playing in Slough and are having a cracking season.

Nice ideas but just a TV will do for now..

My point was more that Glen thinks having TVs etc is a 'basic requirement'. I think this would be correct if AP was only a football stadium, but it isn't. It's a multi-purpose facility and SBC make the decisions as to its use. Personally, yes I wouldn't mind having TVs in there. Perhaps you could contact SBC and ask them if it's in their plans?

Why would one person, who they don't know from Adam, ask the Council that sort of question when there are people at the club who have regular contact with the Council?

AP is primarily a football stadium so IMO a TV is a 'basic requirement'.

If you want to watch football on a TV stay at home.

For live football go to a football ground.

I cannot see why you are so desperate to watch a bunch of overpaid, underskilled, non British players on tv, when you can be watching real passionate local lads play live football up close?

Looks like Murdoch and his Sky brainwashing has got you hooked.

Why can't we have both?

The trouble is Clive you are speaking from your own point of view without any consideration for others.

Personally if we had a TV I'd just watch the odd bits but there are supporters who like to watch some of the early kick off game, half time and full time scores whilst having a drink.

........ and just to keep the interested up to date on the Meadowbank re-build in Dorking, I had a long chat with a friendly 'tame' Mole Valley council official last week.

The ground which was originally supposed to be up and running at the beginning of this season and was then put back to October, has NOW be put further back to January/February 2018. (Surprise, surprise.)  Due to pitch contamination clearance and other ground work, the total cost will have to be increased by a further £1 million.

ALL catering inside and outside the ground will be controlled by one single private company, so I assume that will include the bar.  (That won't be cheap.)

Watch this space !!

Such a non argument. I'm sure the TVs make no difference as to whether people decide to come or not and it's not like at 3pm on a Saturday there's a TV match to distract from the live match. It just seems like a little bit of a missed opportunity. The early PL KO would create a bit of a buzz in the bar, more drinks possibly bought and, for someone like myself, I would more than likely head down earlier and might get talking to and get to know more regulars.

How about because you keep asking the question on here and you aren't getting an answer?

Did you try speaking to Steve or John?

ARAAS, my answer was in reply to Matt's suggestion that I ask SBC directly.

As for asking Steve I did try at our previous games but unfortunately he was either wizzing around like the proverbial or talking to someone else.

As you didn't mention his name before I was not aware that JP would have the answer so I will try to speak to him or Steve at Saturday's game just to hopefully try and put this to bed once and for all.

Nothing really Eddie, it's just have fond memories of the tin hut apart from the creatures of course lol.

In time I expect the new shop will feel like home even without a tv x

Now there's an idea, perhaps you can have a small TV installed in your shop with people modelling your wares to give sales a boost.

I'll ask Steve or John when I see them

It’s a smart screen and is used in the boardroom on matchdays currently with a PC connected to it as part of the hospitality on offer to the matchday sponsors and away team.

Well, that should ensure it doesn't get nicked, then !!
