Bickering about the facilities! A few years ago we didn't have the prospect

of a ground, so despite the drawbacks we're pretty lucky IMO. Check out the

Poole Town forum, they are so jealous of what we have and continue to

experience problems with their local council.

Think it’s reasonable to say nearly every non league club has a clubhouse of sorts with at least 1 tv, not even mentioning having any paid sports subscriptions!!! So I don’t see any issue at all in asking if we with a multi million pound new stadium could expect to see one of these boxes? Yes no doubt certain individuals will insist it doesn’t matter but that’s personal opinion and isn’t the voice for every fan who pays to enter the ground. I’ve used the bar once mainly because I know nothing goes to the club plus the queuing takes up all of half time so is a waste of time. That area upstairs (won’t call it a clubhouse as it isn’t) could be made lovely with some care, attention and obviously a little cash (we have got £15,000 sitting idle!).

Its a fine line between suggesting improvements and moaning about stuff not being right!

Football fans have short memories , bank improvements in team and facilities then ask what's next.?

Heard a Man City fan the others day complaining the owners need to spend more money in January !!!

It goes without saying every genuine fan is over the moon with AP. It’s merely an observation that such an expensive stadium wouldn’t include what some may say are basics from the start. Personally not bothered but would be nice as an option. Of course what we have now is a world away from what we had and I’m very grateful for it. But just like when we were on our winning streak you then hope for more of the same and expectations rise.

For large parts of the week the upstairs area isn't a football clubhouse though - it's a space which can be used for community groups, businesses etc to meet. It's a brand new multi million pound stadium yes, but not ours to furnish as we want, unless we take it all with us when we leave after every game!

Matt, not sure other people using the facility is a good reason not to have something like a TV in place.

Sounds obvious but wouldn't other users just not turn the TV on if they didn't wish to watch it?

Both of you probably won't know this but they used to put TV's in the local schools a few years ago to use as displays screens to promote upcoming events and other things. The TV's regularly got stolen and must have cost a fortune to replace each time.

This has probably stuck with the council who don't want a repeat of that so may have become wary putting more TVs up in buildings.

Plus do they really want to fork out several thousands more pounds for a few TVs and licences (which are way more expensive than normal sky/bt subscriptions) just for them to be used 2-5 times per month during the season?

I wouldn't.

There should be an electronic score board because St Neots has one

There should be multiple food outlets because Hereford has them

There should be large screens to review play as premiership teams have them

There should be goal line technology

There should be a roof like the millennium stadium

There should be………..

Or just be grateful for what we have got and are back playing in Slough and are having a cracking season.

My point was more that Glen thinks having TVs etc is a 'basic requirement'. I think this would be correct if AP was only a football stadium, but it isn't. It's a multi-purpose facility and SBC make the decisions as to its use. Personally, yes I wouldn't mind having TVs in there. Perhaps you could contact SBC and ask them if it's in their plans?

Or you could go to the Madejski and sit in one of their hospitality suites with as many TV's as you want - because you are not going to want to watch the boring football they serve up!

You can go out and buy as much as you like, but if the council don't ok it to go in .Then it a waist of time.
