Interesting initiative by Hitchin on 8th April All females attending the game will be admitted free in an attempt to hook a few more regulars They will also be offered a glass of wine or a soft drink.

They've done it many times before. If i remember rightly one of our recent games at their place was their designated ladies day.

Personally I have no problems but understand Redwine's comment. What happened to the Equality Laws? If Hitchin want to nurture future support I would have thought kids free would have been more productive.

It does seem weird in this day and age especially when a lot of females attend football. Obviously works though as it doubles their average so they've not going to stop doing it. Hopefully next season we can organise 1 or 2 games with special initiatives to bump the crowd up.

"Free women" great title. Won't work my friends wouldn't care what's there they would only go to support a bf, if they aren't watching already there is a reason. They will go for one game and not return that's why it only ups their avg for one game. Kids are 100% a better option for long term

ARAAS Yes they have done this before but if my memory serves me right it was free entry for women accompanied by a male This time its any woman turning up any quantity

When the women's football game wants equality with the men's game why is there the need to discriminate on entry to a football ground based on the sex of the individual.

 

If this was free entry to a game based on someones color, ethnicity or religion there would mass uproar.

Yes Clive but the women seem to get so much further in competitions, so I think it's you men looking for equality

Despite a hell of a lot less competition they have never WON a major international tournament.

Let's not lie lionesses will win a damn sight more then the men will in the near future.

 

Also the reason they offer free women is because the majority is mostly men and to get more women in with their men, even at our ground very little women, I swear I am like a rare sight in our new ground. Young female can't be normal at non league ???
