Went to see Windsor today and everything about the match was dire. No atmosphere at all, probably only 100 people and the football was awful, about 5 Windsor players were missing injuries and suspensions etc. Windsor were probably the better side - JUST!

 

Good news is Croydon Athletic only drew with Met Police so we stay in 7th position!

As i was on holiday nearby went to see Dorchester v Weymouth on New Years Day - and what a game. Over four thousand people, over half of them Weymouth, kick off delayed for 20 minutes to get everyone in. Great atmosphere, two goals each, two sendings off - including Weymouth player manager Steve Claridge. Made me think of the Conference days and the battles between Slough and Wycombe.

Then on Saturday as i was in Slough went to see Beaconsfield play - just couldn't bring myself to go to slug meadow.

Really well run friendly club with their eyes firmly on the Ryman League - yet the official attendance was 42. If Slough don't finish in the top six then this is what we can expect next season. And i'm getting quite worried we won't finish in the top six.
