Looking at the pictures from last night it looks like the player that went down for their penalty was certainly having his shirt pulled and making a bit more of it (as most players would do) I can see how the ref would have given that, if the ref was in a position to have seen the shirt being pulled.

Is the goal keeper staying as he has done well in both games or is the decision still to be made.

Next year in this division I think we must aim for being more consistent, that is when we beat a  so called top side ( Hitchin Merthyr etc ) we must make sure we don't give points away to teams much lower than us.That's how you win the league, also you will notice most winning teams play the same players the next game.

During the commentary I did say the ref had a good game because he got everything spot on from little fouls, shirt pulls and the yellow cards were all right. With the penalty we conceded it wasn't clear from my view whilst ours was a clear foul. The only thing he may of got wrong was the sending off for Unders a sit was obviously verbal. All in all , apart from the clash of kit, the ref was excellent

Just out of interest Kirk have you given up any hope of us getting promoted this season? There is still a long way to go and we could get a home draw in the play offs and on our day we can beat anyone

We can't blame anyone for dropping 2 points, neither team looked like scoring in the second half.

 

We were unlucky as Manny's injury forced us in to a change which set us back.

 

I often moan at the officials but in that game i didnt. I couldn't see their penalty claim but photos seem to prove it was an acceptable decision.

 

We need to remain positive now and put in a good run to ensure we are the form team going into the playoffs.

There is now a video of the game on St Neots twitter, unfortunately the cameraman turned up late and didn't get our goal.

 

Looking at their penalty, if it was foul it was a totally unnecessary one.

Cost - at Conference National and above officials are provided with regulation black kit and alternative (non-black) coloured shirts. Below that, officials wear kit bought at their own expense.

Unfortunately he has broken his metatarsal.

Manny was in real agony hitting the ground with his hand in real pain when the injury accurred.

All the best to him in his recovery he gave the team a different dimension since his time with us will be a big miss.

We seem to be having some rotten luck with injuries at the moment. Manny certainly added a bit more experience to the side and in my opinion was instrumental in the start of our improved run over the last few weeks. Hope to see him back in a slough shirt.

I was thinking about our rotten luck with injuries under Bakes and Unders. Off the top of my head:

 

Adam Foulser - serious knee injury

Warren Harris - injured in pre season out for a year

Craig Scott - injured in first game never played for club again

Harrison Gilkes- injured in pre season out for a year

Lee Barney - missed most of this season

Mark Scott - breaks his neck!

 

Manny's injury whilst hopefully not as long term has come at a bad time. It has been an absolute pleasure to watch him play for the Rebels. He always seems to have so much time on the ball and that is all about his quality. Real shame he will miss the run in.
