St Neots a

The draw was the right result tonight in all honesty.

Not sure what you are saying about the pitches but it is well known that St Neots have one of the better pitches in the league and it played quite well tonight.

From the opposite end it was hard to see what there penalty was given for or who committed the foul. I think Neil and Jon were made because the foul might have been out of the area so not a penalty, they will clarify latter.

St Neots did stake there claim for longest time to cook food. Just 20 minutes for sausage and chips, wish I had gone to the tesco instead. Not quite as bad as Dunstable but not far off.

Manny went down screaming in pain and had to be helped off and left at full time on crutches so not good.

Manny going off coincided with our drop in performance tonight as we lost any control.

St Neots weren't great but neither were we tonight. Move onto Cinderford where 3 points is a must.

Plus bogey team Chesham who even though they'll have nowt to play for you can guarantee they'll have one of their best performances of the season against us! So yeah at least 2 tough games out of the remaining 7. I'm sure some may say our next game against 16 points from safety Cinderford will also be a tough one but that is one we've got to win. I think 1st and 2nd is wrapped up so we have to aim for 3rd now.

Glen every game from now on will be tough. There are no easy games!

Thanks for that honest assessment of tonight's game SRJ.

According to Bakes St Neots penalty never was one.

Unders got sent off for swearing which apparently he never did (seems the ref has guessed) and the Lino has backed Unders up so maybe an appeal is in order to avoid a fine.

I am not saying we are the only ones to get poor refs either I think the ones in lower leagues are just poor in total. It's very rare I will leave a game and think the ref was pretty spot on today. Win or lose it seems to be brought up a lot. And I know refs can't see every thing but some incidents are on the ball where their eyes should be but even those can go un noticed. Even linos seem to be pointless sometimes. Shame because it ruins the game.

Not sure about a draw being the right result, why

Apart from the Pen I can't remember them having a shot on target (a few well off target).

As for us Manny hitting the post, Floody keeper saving at near post, Volley at far post, Out jumped keeper to header just wide. Curling ball from just outside the box. Dobo's just off target from about 7 yards out, And of cause the missed pen.

The other thing was how the hell were St Neots allowed to play in that dark blue kit, it was far too close to the black of the referee. On more than one occasion the St Neots players passed the ball to the ref in mistake. Best one of all was the corner which went to the back post where the referee was totally unmarked and really should have at least got a shot on target from where he was.

Horsham rebel should set up a game of where's Wally with his pics for people to find the referee in a crowd of S Neots players

Most of those you quoted where off target just like St Neots.

Neither keeper had many saves to make.

We were dominated second half and no way we deserved a win.

If the ref decided there was a clash of colours (only he has the authority to make that decision) then he would have changed his top Refs are expected to wear substantially black shorts and socks but can wear a number of other tops red and yellow are most common.

I don't see the draw as a bad result.

The fact that the ref gave us a golden opportunity to take all three points, seems to be a case of even-ning it up, for the penalty we had awarded against us.

Had Dobbo got it right, no one would be moaning.

On to the next match against Cinderford. This is 3 points I am expecting.

"7.4 No Club shall be permitted to register or play in shirts the colour of which is likely to cause

confusion with the outfits worn by the Match Officials (i.e. black or dark blue)."

Taken from the FA Standardised Rules which cover step 1-6.

I can't copy a link to it but if you search "FA Standardised rules" you can find the PDF easily.

As I said their chances were miles off target as ours were close and as I said I can only think of the pen on target as we were on or close.

Fact is they have been allowed to register tbeir home kit and play in it for some time so 7.4 seems to have been complied with After all what does "dark blue" mean there are probably a dozen shades that most would call dark blue Easy enough for a ref to change his/her top if he believes there is a clash I do remember an incident many years ago when John Delaney was turning out for Horlicks The ran out in a new all black kit and the ref refused to start the game until they changed. Back in the day when refs could only play in black Never saw thar kit again.

3 Spirit Like you Im expecting 3 points against Cinderford Things are so tight at the top now that GD may well decide some positions and we currently have the worst in the top 5 We need some good wins. Cinderford may have had a mini revival recently although still anchored well at the bottom of the table but this revival has been on their own swamp Their away record is this Points played for 54 points won 4 An ideal game to get back to winning ways for the crucial run in.
