What do some of you think "Sounds like" means? I wasnt there but have taken on board what has been said about the game from numerous sources Apart from blaming the pitch which is the same for both teams there hasnt been any plausible reasons put forward for last nights performance.

Read my post correctly and you'll see I stated 'feeling' which obviously doesn't mean being able to describe in detail (and why would it matter if it's a miss??!!). It's getting tiresome of the few who feel the need to strike down those who didn't attend for having a say. Without being repetitive by listening either on Rebels Radio and/or following on Twitter I think most people can paint a picture of what's happening without knowing every single detail.

Your quote was "accurate feeling" so I asked you to accurately describe your "feeling" which you have failed to do.

Its getting very tiresome from the people who didn't attend to pretend they know what happened and pass judgement on it when they haven't got a clue what actually happened.

The old football saying is that if you paid your money to get in then you have earned the right to have your say on it, well you didn't pay to get in.

I did the commentary for rebels radio last year along side Adrian and I will repeat myself again that whilst you do your best to describe what is happening in detail you can never truly get across the whole match and what it is actually like. Particularly when rebels radio is as unbiased as possible most of the time, so you can't always describe how Slough are truly playing.

Adrian on rebels radio and those who do twitter do a great job but it is impossible to give a 100% accurate representation of the whole game to the point that the listener/reader is actually there.

Just responding to a few comments, as we did not get a chance to do an interview with John Porter after the game last night, but was not casual, and not one of those performances...

As my twitter stated fine lines in football, we started well and had about 4 corners in the first 10 minutes, they then got their goal which from our view that was level looked a yard offside, Struds however made the two excellent saves, and then rebounded to a lad who had a shot through a crowd of players and took a massive deflection and went into the other corner of the goal.

Floody had a great chance from a header but put it wide, and in reality the game was pretty even until half time.

Second half they came out and missed a sitter from 2 yards out, then Craig Daniel had a strike on goal that went wide.

We then made 2 subs bringing Callum and Togs on, mainly because of the conditions, we then peppered their goal for a good 15/20 minute spell, where we hit the crossbar twice, had a volley from Warren go just wide, few saves from Browny from Stoney and 2 from callum, a header at the backpost from Callum that he did not connect with....

After the second time Dobbo hit the crossbar you had the feeling it might not be our night, and then a slip in the middle of the pitch from Nis similar to the Gerrard incident against Chelsea left them one on one to make it 2-0, with the third coming a couple of minutes later where we overplayed trying to keep the ball in play.

Was never a 3-0 game and we probably deserved to take something from it.

Cant fault the effort put in, the conditions for both sides were very tough, you could hardly stand on the pitch, I know as I tried walking across in trainers and was slipping all over the place.

The game is gone and we have to move on like the last time we got beat which we did against Dorchester in the next game.

Completely agree, I had walking boots on, and when I went on the pitch to photograph the players and officials walking out, I had to walk really slowly and carefully, so not to slip and end up face down on the pitch.

I was quite thankful when I got back off of it to take my usual positions to capture the match.

It must have been murder for all the players in having solid footing to kick the ball.

No wonder the latter goals came from slips and careful overplaying

Basically the situation is that Hartley were happy for him to play last night but not this Saturday, as the only side that could potentially catch them is Westfield who they are playing (Hartley are 23 points clear) and then they are happy for him to finish the season with us (though he is unavailable also on the 18th).

We are therefore trying to find alternative cover which is so far proving to be very difficult, myself and Unders have literally been on the phone all day (and that is no exaggeration) and we are still a way off finding a solution.

We have tried most pro clubs some where we have some fantastic contacts, plus also so many non league sides... looking at my call list I have made 61 phone calls today... plus however many Unders has made.

I am sure that we will get something sorted, but it just gives you a little insight into what goes into running a team at this level sometimes.

I was there and can say for sure the lads put in a terrific effort, especially second half, when Biggleswade could barely get out of their own half. The pitch was atrocious and we do struggle to adapt, whereas Biggleswade stuck to the SPL survival tactics employed by a number of clubs at mid table level or lower, not pretty but effective. I lost count of how many times the ball was smashed 30-40 yards into the channels and how slowly they restarted play from throws thereby stalling the momentum of the game.

If we'd have scored first I think the result would have gone our way, but we didn't and it followed a familiar pattern (St. Ives, Cinderford for example). 3-0 flattered them, in fact the win flattered them. I'm wondering how long it is before we get a win in such a way, can't recall one this season so far.

That's seems unfair from Hartley when they've got such a stupid lead that they feel they still need Paul? If they have no other goalie then that's different... So is Paul nothing to do with Hungerford now and is Hartley's player? Have you called Jamie Jackson and asked Callum if his dad is free???

Agree with Matt, yes they should win the league comfortably however they have helped us out last minute on Wednesday and have arguably their biggest game of the season this Saturday.

it is something that we just have to deal with, this is all unexpected due to Scotti injury, however as you would expect we are on it, and doing our utmost best to make sure we are as strong as possible for Saturday.

Read it again Matt, I did ask if he was their goalie and the only one available to them, then of course it's a different matter. Still think they can spare him with such a lead... are they that worried they'd be caught???

Fair enough Glen, I take the point!

I don't think anyone realised that Paul Strudley was on loan from Hartley Wintney, I certainly didn't.

So Hartley want him to play in their big game on Saturday and are then happy for him to play for us for the rest of the season but he's not available on the 18th March.

Does that mean he won't be playing for Hartley on the 18th?

Isn't Billy Granger available? Noticed he was sub for Bromley last week.

As he had a short spell with Slough last season, wouldn't we be able to get him for one game?
