VIOLENCE AT DIDCOT TOWN

Longshot

Recommended Posts

  • 2 weeks later...

3 Hereford supporters have received bans.

http://www.herefordfc.co.uk/news-club-confirm-three-bans-issued/

Also in their upcoming match away to Salisbury they have been told by Salisbury to only sell tickets to season ticket holders.

A good idea, but will they be able to 'police' that at the gate on the day ??

Agree epicrebel Off topic but you have to feel sorry for Chalfont The Southern League have ordered a replay of their game with Kempston recently abandoned due to a serious injury The game was halted in the 93rd minute with Chalfont leading and when an ambulance still hadnt arrived an hour later the ref abandoned it

Taken from the Southern League web site

"The League are aware that while the FA have informed both Clubs that they will be taking no further action, they are still dealing with other matters from events during the abandoned game on 4th March. As a result the Evo-Stik League Southern are unable to conclude their own investigations into the matter until such time as the FA investigations have concluded."

Both the Southern League and FA have bottled it and failed to deal with an obvious breakdown of control of fans by both clubs - considering how the Banbury issue was dealt with and the negative impact that had on both clubs - even the Innocent Slough Town who were clearly going to win and then had to replay and lost.

Both the Southern League and FA have now proven time and again they are not competent but still claim to be the custodians of the game - total incompetent old fuddy duddies who are only their for the old boys club and no interest in grass roots (or 3/4G) football.

So what would you have done Rebel 1965? With regard to your comments of 25 March - "total incompetent old fuddle duddies who are only in it for their old boys club and not interested in grass roots (including 3/4g" - why don't you come to Oxford City FC on 23rd April to see the old fuddle duddies in action running the monthly Berks, Oxon and Bucks Inclusive (BOBi) League tournament? The senior matches (including those for Slough Town PALS FC)are played on 3g. Finally have you yet responded to Sittingbull on the Hereford website regarding your comments aimed at ALL Hereford supporters? The Rebels are in the mix for promotion but should we find ourselves playing Hereford next season I trust these recent keyboard exchanges do not sully relations between our two sets of supporters. Yours in Sport.

When I say FA I am referring to those officials who sit in big offices in London, not the local FA made up of honest footballing people. There is a huge difference between the two.

It is illegal to enter the pitch during a sanctioned match! It is also the club of the supporters, responsibility to control their own fans and are subject to punishment if they fail to do so.

The players and the officials are supposed to feel safe when they are on a football pitch. How on earth could you be safe if you know people could come into the pitch at any time, like they did in this match, and know they will face no consequences because the FA don't care. They proved it with our game against Banbury when the referee was hit in the head by a bottle. The FA spend thousands upon thousands with their "Respect" campaign but when something serious happens they do absolutely nothing!!! Pun intended, they bottle it.

If a player is approached during a match they should have every right to defend them self. There have been far too many incidents when fans have come into a pitch and attacked the players. A player can no longer definitively know if someone is coming up to hug them or attack them so should be allowed to stand up and defend themselves if they feel threatened. (Which was the case in the match in question)

Mr Carpenter - to clear up issues for you.

So what would you have done Rebel 1965? - there was a clear infringement by the Hereford supporter who attacked the Didcot keeper - nothing done by the FA - should at least been a fine for failing to control supporters.

With regard to your comments of 25 March - "total incompetent old fuddle duddies who are only in it for their old boys club and not interested in grass roots (including 3/4g"  - lets see if the league take any action or take the easy route like the FA.

- why don't you come to Oxford City FC on 23rd April to see the old fuddle duddies in action running the monthly Berks, Oxon and Bucks Inclusive (BOBi) League tournament? The senior matches (including those for Slough Town PALS FC)are played on 3g. - I am not sure what you mean by this statement or you have misinterpreted what I was saying - don't bother answering as I am not interested.

Finally have you yet responded to Sittingbull on the Hereford website regarding your comments aimed at ALL Hereford supporters? Yours in Sport. - Have not been on the Hereford website since the post so have no idea what he is on about and don't care.

Just to let you know David that it is not mandatory to reply to all questions asked as some comments are purely statements, not comments for discussion.
