It sounds like a Hereford fan head butted the Didcot keeper. It is not the first time this season that travelling Hereford fans have caused problems and it has been something the club have been looking at for a while.

Long before the final trouble this game was volatile. Before halftime  a Hereford player was red carded and the Hereford manager was ordered to the stands  Hereford 1-0 down at HT  The Hereford equalizer was a Mills penalty (former Didcot star) then a Didcot player picked up a second yellow and a red   Hereford have issued a statement promising  full cooperation with any enquiry and saying how much they regret incidents of this kind Meaningless anodyne drivel to be frank.

It sounds like the Hereford fans had been throwing beer at the Didcot keeper through out the game, and some claiming that coins were thrown as well.

The Hereford fans are trying to blame it on Didcot for having the audacity to sell them beer and that was the reason there was trouble. Others blaming the referee for abandoning the game with just a few minutes left despite the fact he had every right to do so. Just frankly ridiculous from Hereford and considering the FA are already keeping an eye on them for previous trouble an example needs to be made now. This version of the club has only been around for a few years and already has a bad reputation.

Reading reports on other sites, it appears, or is alleged that to get round a NO-ALCOHOL ban on the ground, the tea shop were 'selling' bottles of lager/beer at £3 a go.

If true, interesting regarding licensing laws, never-mind League and F.A. laws.

Thames Valley Police confirmed tonight that two young men from Hereford have been charged with assault and a public order offence.

Also reading reports that "fans" already banned from Herefords home ground are regularly travelling to away games to cause trouble.

The Southern League has released a statement regarding this fixture. It basically says that the matter is now in the hands of the FA and the League can take no further action until the FA have concluded their investigation.
