Enfield Town v Havant & Waterlooville

After Tuesday evenings thriller against Billericay, Town face another tough test tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon, when they host second-placed Havant & Waterlooville in the Ryman Premier Division, on The Hawks first every visit to the Queen Elizabeth Stadium.

 

Inconsistency, and a disappointing sequence of results, may have badly hit our own chances of reaching the play-offs this season, but you rest assured Town will be going flat out to win as many of our nine remaining matches as possible.

 

Back in November, Town travelled to Westleigh Park and beat Havant 0-2. It was a close, physical game, and if that encounter is anything to go by, a hum-dinger of a match is in prospect tomorrow afternoon, in front of what should be a good-size crowd.

 

To mark next weeks International Women's Day (8th March), and support the much publicised 'Women at the Game' initiative, Enfield Town are offering FREE admission to all women and girls at tomorrows match. A great chance to come along to a live match, support your local team, and make new friends.

Looking at the Ryman Premier Division table, it's anyone's guess who will finish as champions this season. Bognor and Havant are neck and neck. Havant are one point behind Bognor with two games in hand. So, if Bognor drop points at home to Leatherhead, and Havant secured an unlikely win at the QE Stadium tomorrow, they would go top. But that isn't going to happen...is it?

Before the inquest I have to say some of the best finishing I've seen this season.... They had us worked out... soak up pressure then quick counter attacks again and again which even though we had enough warnings we did nothing to plug the gaps... some fantastic substitutions from Quinton ... Samir for Tyler... Darnell for Bobby and himself for mickey..... eight games to go would love to see changes now so we can start new season with fresh hope....

I thought the first half we matched them but two goals in quick concession killed us and we folded.

They are a good typical conference south side and were well disciplined.

Not sure why Riccy wasn't in the squad today,we miss him.

I think we had 1 clear shot at goal in 90 mins and that was the pen disgraceful we must be a laughing stock now  shot from wherever  it goes in  why don't we try that approach

Another poor home result. It's becoming common now. Our last home win was against Grays in January. Since then there have been 3 defeats and 1 draw and 2 of those games were against relegation candidates. The inconsistency is strange because on our day we are the best team in the league. We showed it against Finchley, Harrow, Worthing and Havant away.

 

Today's result just followed a recent pattern. Tried a lot but no cutting edge and ability to put it in the net
