Today's Observer

I see on p14 of the Observer today there is an article regarding the Sikh School proposal. A government adjudicator will assess the proposal of the Sikh Education Gurmat Trust on Jan 14th after the proposal passed a vote from the School's Organisation Committee (3-1 in favour). A decision whether to proceed to the planning stage will be made by Jan 18.

 

The school will provide 400 places and will run a curriculum with a Sikh ethos. 80 places will be for non-Sikh students.

 

Nick Kandola (Spokesperson for the Sikh Education Gurmat Trust) said: "There are ten faith schoolds already in Slough, so why not have a Sikh school".

 

Will be interesting to see what comes of this as if it doesn't materialise, would there be hope for a return and redevelopment of the land surrounding Wexham Park??

You can bet that it will materialise though. What are the chances of it not happening?
