Lowestoft Town v Enfield Town

After our impressive showing on the South coast last weekend, Town hit the road again tomorrow, this time to the East coast, where they will face mid-table Lowestoft Town in the Ryman Premier Division at Crown Meadow, fishing for maximum points to revive our play-off chances.

Tomorrow afternoon would be a really good time to start putting the records right. In five previous games against the Trawler-boys, we have not yet managed to chalk up a win, home or away. Our record is three draws and two defeats.

Everything points to another difficult match, but this time we are in with a reasonable chance. Since the turn of the year Lowestoft's form has been pretty patchy, and we will definitely be in with a fair chance, if we play with the same passion and determination shown at Worthing. Worth mentioning that back in December, Worthing won 0-4 at Lowestoft. Funny old game football!

Let's hope we turn on the style tomorrow, with another quality performance and the right result.

Best of luck to Brad and the boys. Come on guys give it your best shots!

No team news as yet, but Town should be well on their way now, and arriving at Crown Meadow shortly. It will be interesting to see what team turns up, Jekyll or Hyde, particularly as the ETFC official website preview puts Lowestoft in Norfolk, not Suffolk. Close, but there you go!!

Wins today for Havant, Wingate & Finchley, and draws for Tonbridge Angels, Needham Market, Bognor. What a shame, that despite our best efforts, we have still not beaten Lowestoft in six attempts - they really are a bit of a bogey side for us!

Well done to all you Towners who made that long journey up to Suffolk. Please share your thoughts on the match, our performance, whether this was a fair result, or did we deserve more from the game? Also, with the best will in the world, does anyone honestly still believe we can make the play-offs, following todays results?

Answer to LH question is, "NO", 6 points out of the last 21 is hardly play off

form.

It seems that we have lost our winning formula. Some say , but we have only lost

11 games out of 36. But we have only won 14, in other words we have failed to win

22. We are told by some that they don't care about statistics, but that is what

leagues are all about.

Once again it comes back to where we, as members,we want to see

the club in the

future. Yes I too think we are a special club, as recently pointed out by others, but that does not mean we just sit back in our comfort zone and accept the status-quo! That is the remedy for disaster.
