Teams in black & white stripes in 2017, St. Ives, Cinderford, Maidenhead all lost. What

kit do Dorchester play in?

Forget their home kit, Bernie. you want to take a look at their away kit,it is awful. Must have been a job lot ! lol ! It's yellow with a red band running around the neck but lower than the collar line.

It really does look naff.

If Dorchester play anything like they did when I watched them against Hayes and Yeading at Beaconsfield earlier in the season, then Slough will stuff them.

From the teams I've seen this season I think Dorchester have been the poorest.

.............but as we know nothing can be taken for granted in this division !

But did still beat them Stuart ha ha!!!

Won't be easy, like every other game between now and the end of the season, but we will go with the full intention of 3 points and keeping up pressure at the top!! COYR

Picking up on your point about the intention to get 3 points, Neil, I agree wholeheartedly with that sentiment but what has been our downfall in staying at the top, is that we either win or lose but don't seem to be able to lessen the games that get away from us, by getting a draw.

I think this is an area that we can work on for next season,if we don't get promoted, as teams that win the title just don't lose many games and seem to have the uncanny ability to grind out unbeaten performances.

We've come a long way in a relatively short space of time under yours and Jon's management, so the positives are evident on where the current team are at.

Just think we will need to be more resolute,as time goes on.

Pretty certain the players and management try their hardest to grab a point if they're losing.

Glen, I know that but the division table doesn't lie, does it?

From my point of view, we've had a great season so far but there is still areas of our game play to improve.

If we stay in the division I can see where I would make changes for next season.

We certainly deserve to be in the play-offs thus far but as of now I don't see us as title contenders. For me it's the play-offs at best.

To me we are still a bit short of what is needed to get to the top of the pile.

That said, at the start of the season I would have been happy with a top 8 finish but expectations have grown rapidly as our season has progressed and now a lower play off position seems underwhelming but one I will still be happy with.

What will be...........

Just to be in the play-offs this season will be a tremendous achievement after the previous 2 seasons placings. If we don't get promotion this season then we have to hope we can keep the players we want and add some more quality ideally from leagues higher or who have that experience to give it another go next season.

Remember 3 Spirit 5th was good enough to lead to our last promotion!

I don't mind 5th place and a spot in the play offs, IrishAdrian.

What I was trying to get across, was that the managers have spoilt us somewhat and that our expectation levels have grown.

Being what I would call 'old school' I tend to view the play offs as a 'get out of jail card' for those who failed to win the title.

Every fan wants their team to make the play offs if they can't win the title, me included.

It's just my preferred way of winning promotion is to be first and win the title,as I've only seen Slough do it once and I'm not getting any younger ! lol !
