v Cinderford

I suppose the worry now is how long Gavin James will be out?

In the meantime, if the potential new striker does decide to join us, we will have one experienced striker in Chris Flood and one young striker with potential to spearhead our attempt to get into the play-offs until Gav James comes back, not an ideal situation to be in at this stage of the season.

Disappointing but no disaster We lost 3 points tonight Merthyr and Hitchin lost 2 Still a lot of football to play and we have proved that on form we can beat any team in the league We were told that Puts loan was for 4 weeks only Is this still the case?

Just to clear a few questions up, Puts will be back with us after Saturday's game and also Manny Williams will be staying with us.

Remember that Mannys natural position is a centre forward so we have plenty of options, though we do hope to add one by the weekend!

Didn't deserve to lose tonight, worked hard, played well and just had one of those days where the luck or the ricochet of the ball did not quite go our way!!

Lads attitude was excellent and you won't see us say a bad word tonight! Football is a funny old game and tonight it was certainly that!

I think RR mentioned we conceded from a corner and that we have let a lot in from them all season, tbh hardly so, main ones I remember are Chippenham and Chesham, but not lots and certainly not an issue!

Ball just looped up over Stoneys head, and it was their first real chance in a half where they had the wind behind them!

Anyway we will forget tonight quickly and move on!

That is now ourselves Merthyr and Chippenham they have beaten at home with Leamington still to go there, with Hitchin the only side from top 5 winning 1-0 there! COYR

Can't really fault the effort but nothing quite clicked or fell for us most the game in difficult swirling wind conditions.

Cinderford maybe a bit fortunate to win but at the end of the day took advantage of their few chances and ultimately its goals that win games. Cinderford were fighting for their lives and rode their luck in defence throughout but we didn't really ever create much clear cut.

Fair play to everyone who made the trip. At a guess at least 25-30 rebels fans were in attendance.

Not a game where you could say we were totally outplayed which I guess makes it even more frustrating a loss. Move on to Dorchester game and hopefully back to winning ways straight away
