Edinburgh Rebel
Hi everyone, I'm living in London now and planning to go a match at some point. Can anyone tell me the dates for the playoffs? Don't want to tempt fate but seems like there is a decent gap now between the top five and the rest.
Matt
Tuesday 25th April for the semis and Monday 1st May for the final.

Matt
Having said that, if Hitchin were to be at home in a semi-final, I'm not sure if they would play it on the Monday evening as that is their chosen day for midweek games, or whether the league requires it to be Tuesday. Worth checking.
HorshamRebel
All the mid week games are played on the day the home team normally plays. It's been like that for quite a few years now.
Neil Baker
Not true, they were played on the Tuesday night last night, despite Redditch and Hitchin who both played on the Monday night being at home, as the league felt it was too soon to organise a play off game in 2 days! Mark44
I could be wrong but I'm sure the two times we played them in division one playoffs it was a Tuesday night
C'est la vie
No need to worry about the playoffs, we're going to win the title! COYR

GlenSTFC
Positions 2-5 are wide open yes but leaders Chippenham are 8 points clear!!! ?
rebelbrewer
Positions 2-5 are wide open yes but leaders Chippenham are 8 points clear!!! They would only be 3 points clear of us and 2 points clear of Leamington and Hitchin if we all got the same average points per game as we have done to date. Still all to play for! That said the play-offs one division down were such fun that, if you could guarantee a successful outcome,I might almost prefer to go up that way. GlenSTFC
Your average points per game may hold substance but anyone would want the points in the bag rather than games in hand. Which is why I'd say Chippenham are certainly in the driving seat and it's up to them to falter and others to take advantage.

A case could be made for Hitchin as the still have all 4 of the other top 5 teams still to play which could mean they have the potential to gain 3 points on everybody. Particularly when 3 of those 4 matches are at home.

GlenSTFC
I'm just saying there's no guarantee we'd get those average points and anyone would prefer to be 8/9 points ahead.
Irishadrian
Another way to look at is this: Since kick off back in August Leamington and Hitchin have lost 31 points Chippenham and Slough have lost 32 Merthyr 37 So 1 point is the difference between 4 of the top 5 IMO there isnt a favourite Its still all to play for! Personally I think Chippenham remain slight favourites. That said I think average points per game is pretty much the best guide there is which makes it close - it would be unrealistic to dial in our February form, which would have us equal on points at the top as Glen's point that points in the bag are better than any guesstimate of future form. There is a gap - it's just not 8 or 9 points. Anyway we could be 2nd after tonight if Merthyr and Hitchin draw and we win....could still be 5th too.
