Not agreeing with manhandling officials but sometimes passion and frustration at things they blatantly get wrong must drive players nuts!!!

I'm not siding with the officials Julie. All I am saying is that on this particular occasion the player admitted on his own media post that he had pushed the referee. He tried to mitigate his action by stating that he disagreed with the referees decision and that the referee had in effect simulated falling down to justify the red card. Firstly his pushing of the referee warranted the red card. Secondly in an era where there are less people willing to take up refereeing, where there have been instances in local league matches where players and spectators have assaulted referees and where from where I am viewing matters there is a progression of abuse occurring; where on this thread people have tried to conflate the players action by linking it to FA Governance I am just concerned as to where this might all lead to. As we all agree we are passionate about our game and we want but don't always get good officials. I just feel that sometimes officials are unduly criticised.
