v Weymouth

The recent loan signing of ex league player Stuart Fleetwood seems to have galvanized Weymouth's season and with the recent 6-1 away demolitions of Kings Lynn and Basingstoke, with Fleetwood getting a hat-trick, seems to highlight the task ahead of us on Tuesday night.

Either way it does look a mouth watering game in prospect.

Absolutely outstanding job from the boys tonight and in some ways a better performance than Leamington. Weymouth could not live with some of that passing and movement and Fleetwood barely got a touch. Tough night to pick man of the match but I'd go for Dunny, with the other three midfielders all turning in performances of real quality. We must do all we can to keep Manny Williams at the club for the rest of the season. Such a brilliant player to watch. COYR!

That was one of my most enjoyable matches I've seen supporting Slough Town. First half we were very good and a little unlucky not to be ahead by more but the second half was absolutely fantastic. Weymouth tried to play good football but we just didn't let them and were all over them as soon as they got the ball. When we had the ball we were quick and direct and caused them all kinds of problems.

Our back four were great and I can't remember Scotty having a save to make other than one or two very simple shots straight at him. Our midfield were tireless tonight and deserve all the praise they get. everyone was busting a gut to close down the Weymouth players and when they inevitably won the ball back they were calm and played a simple pass to get us going again. Our strikers were constantly available to ball forward and caused the Weymouth defence problems constantly. I'm fairly sure the Weymouth team will be very happy right now that they don't have to play us again as they have their long trip home.

Hard to pick out a MotM as there were plenty of candidates but for me Dunn was slightly ahead of the other, he barely put a foot wrong and his pass to set up Flood for our second goal was the best pass of the night. Webb improved massively from the weekend and showed the same determination as at the start of the season when he was a rock in midfield. Flood was great up top, controlling the ball and gave the two big centre backs a tough physical battle and came out on top. I nearly gave Gavin James MotM ,and i'm sure other people will give it to him, he was a constant threat all night with his pace and willingness to chase every ball forward and deserved his two goals.

A crowd of 612 and a game most of them won't forget in quite a while.

Yep spot on. Superb performance. The tempo we set was fantastic and we just pressed them all over the park. Weymouth tried to play good football but we just did not let them have any time or space. Best performance I've seen in a long time. COYR

Agree with Stuntman Mark and Staines Rebel Juhior that Simon Dunn was Man of the Match, though no Slough player had a bad game. All of them played well, which is probably a first.

Also nice to see Mark Scott get so much rest time !

What was so great tonight was the team worked hard from the very first minute to the final one. Every Slough player seemed fired up.

Weymouth had no answers to our excellent football.

Let's hope the keenness to work hard for each other continues on Saturday, when we play back on that dreadful pitch at St Ives against Cambridge City.

Probably the best game i've seen this season.Got off to a blistering start with the early penalty, and never looked back.Unfair to pick a MOM as the whole team stood out.Three clean sheets out of the last four games , and Scotty hardly called upon, means we are getting back to the results of earlier in the season. The Basingstoke factor now kicking in with Dunn , Flood and Williams who was out on his feet at the end.

Impressive crowd and atmosphere for a cold Tuesday night. Was slightly concerned going into the game with Weymouth's free scoring team ,but we never let them settle for ninety minutes.

Onto the next one Saturday. COYR.

Still buzzing after witnessing what was arguably our best performance of the season.

Hard to think of any superlatives apart from what a fantastic performance!!

Every player from 1-11 were truly excellent tonight with a number of them putting in justified claims for MOTM.

If I had to I would give it to Dunny who played like a man possessed tonight and his through ball for Floody's goal was exquisite.

A very good crowd who certainly saw some superb football and great value for money entertainment.

Brilliant game last night. As previously said all put in a good shift. I thought the 4 in midfield played well as a unit and helped keep the pressure off the back 4, WE look a better side when we press other teams and stop them playing. Manny Williams seems to have been the missing link to galvanise the midfield with his experience and always seeming to be available for the next pass. We have been missing that sort of player since Sears

We seem to be able to do this when we play a side that also want to play football. We now need to find a way of beating those teams that are more physical and negative in their play. Lets do this on Saturday against Cambridge.

Never tire of reading comments from groundhoppers or other clubs on their websites how impressed they are with the facilities people and style of play. ie Dunstable and Weymouth sites

Good to watch.

Great performance where everyone put in at least a 8 out of 10 performance and we gave a decent team a torrid night

Joy to watch us at our flowing passing best but won't let myself get carried away as teams that play it out from the back are the teams we tend to thrive against compared to the more physical nasty lump up field types. Still have to go out and execute our plans which we did to perfection. Could argue 3-0 flattered Weymouth on the night

Real test away to Cambridge on a pitch we really struggled on a month or so ago. Hopefully lessons were learned albeit against different opposition from that and we have a few different ideas as to how to play that sort of surface.

Slough beat Leamington 6-0, then lose to Kings Lynn 5-2, then Leamington and KL draw, Weymouth thrash Baisingrade 6-1, and then we total dominate Weymouth and win 3-0 - there must be some logic in there but I cant see it.

Who knows what will happen next in this league - one of the most competitive and entertaining for a while.

But last nights game was on another level with us taking apart a good Weymouth side.
