Leamington.....0-6 !

Only if you're able to find someone to pay a minimum £3k per season to do it (at the rates for home games only of the last guy who filmed for us), or a volunteer with a decent camera, both unlikely. Putting commentary on top of another matter too.

Right so,

If the top 5 win all their games in hand (1-0) the table would look like this (+safe from dropping out of the play-offs)...

1)  Leamington........ +28...........64

2)  Slough..................+26...........64

3)  Hitchin..................+25...........64

4)  Chippenham.......+28...........63

5)  Merthyr.................+34..........59

6) Banbury.................+21.........54

If we did that of course our GD would improve by a couple against Leamington of course so....

That said I prefer points per game which has us 4th http://www.footballwebpages.co.uk/southprem/league/ppm which I think is a fair reflection right now. What this proves is that it's tight at the top between the top 5, which will be exciting if not good for the heart. Football pages predicted final table (not sure how this is worked out because surely it should match points per game) which shows 2nd to 4th on 94 or 93 points.

As I said IF all the games in hand were won 1-0, so above would be the table (including the GD).

That table is what it should be now , but it's not

Having been unable to get to the game I have just watched the highlights with a great deal of joy. I must commend Paul Hollerhan for his honest and sporting post match appraisal when he must of course have been feeling deeply disappointed. No blaming the officials and holding up his hand in a  forthright manner. COYR!

Wholeheartedly agree, David.

Paul Hollerhan came across as a top bloke, there was no sour grapes or bulls*it about their loss.

Not often that you get such a gracious manager in defeat.Good on him.

rebelbrewer Not a lot of people notice that the Footballwebpages prediction league you mention has tbe facility to see the predicted scores for every game We should have lost 1-0 last Saturday!

the FWP prediction league is pretty rubbish throughout most of the season. At the beginning of December it predicted that Chippenham would only concede 1 goal for the rest of the season. Towards the last 5 or 6 games it can give you an idea of where teams should finish but things never go to plan and for most of the season its predictions are ridiculous. It once had Chippenham winning the league with 120 points with us second on 107.

Excellent result! Top class! Superb highlights package and also remarks from their manager who is renowned for being one of the good guys from what I hear!

Sniff of the title again!! One game at a time though and see what unfolds! Chippenham flying but may start feeling the pressure at top like we did and like leamington have!!

Exciting times ahead

Excellent result even if it cost me £3 on "sponsor a goal"!!! by my calculations this takes Alan Harding to almost £1000 this year which is a great credit to the team for the nr of goals scored and clean sheets kept to date. STFC are value for money.

Also thought the Leamington video was great and the managers comments very honest although as lready said he must be hurting.

Watched the kings Langley v/s Kings Lynn game on Saturday and on a very heavy pitch it was difficult to play good football. Kings Lynn started  3 5 2 with the left back making a number of runs into Kings Langleys final third and getting some good balls in. However once Kings Langley equalised Kings Lynn went into their shell a bit and began hoofing the ball anywhere. They have a very tall CB who dealt with most high balls but was not as effective on the ground. If we can get some good low balls in we could create them problems.

Kings Lynn reverted to 4 at the back in the second half but lost some of their attacking effectiveness. Looking at their results they have drawn more games than anyone except Stafford. With their "hoof it out - play safe" way of playing I can see why. Although it will be a difficult game after a long journey I would hope that if we can get on top early and score in the first 20mins or so we could come away with the points.

I hope I am further adding to the "sponsor a goal" kitty after Tuesday night.

COYR
