Just wow, no one could have predicted that! I was thinking a draw would be a great result before KO and our recent form. Gutted I didn't go as I was planning to but family guilt got the better of me! Next two against mid table opposition who really don't have much to play for, got to be aiming for 6 points here which would put us right back into the title race (maybe getting ahead of myself now but you've got to be confident after a result like that?).

Excellent result We are now 8 points behind the leaders with 3 games in hand and those six goals greatly improve our sickly GD (compared to other top teams) which may count at tbe end of the season We are still well in the hunt to be top imo

Timeline of the game. Timings are approximate!!!

15 mins - flood scores curler from edge of box

16 mins - lemmy keeper does nice little spin before releasing drop goal kick

20 mins - James drills in from 15 yards after lemmy miss 3 chances to clear

25 mins - lemmy start to lose heads and 5 inexplicably escapes booking for lunge on Webb

30 mins - 9 is dismissed for out of control tackle on Fraser

31 mins - 10 is replaced to silence (obviously a fans favourite)

40 mins - flood heads home Dunn free kick back across keeper

41 mins - floodlights get turned on despite bright sunshine to set up excuses for later

44 mins - can't see game due to floodlights reflecting off keepers head

3-0 at break

60 mins - keeper decides to play sweeper and clears from touchline only to Fraser on halfway line. Cross/shot from range headed by flood at far post but cleared off line by 3.

65 mins - Webb gets to byline despite being punched by 8, cuts back for flood to complete hat trick

66 mins - ref tries to book 3 (who is not on a booking) for punching Webb but 3 outs his mate 8 (who is on a booking) so lemmy reduced to 9 men

67 mins - drunken lemmy fan wastes beer by throwing it over stewards after trying to start fight with slough fans and is ejected

68 mins - lemmy stewards try to find ejected man and let him back in after realising he was supposed to be the one to turn the floodlights off - fortunately for slough he is asleep in a ditch

75 mins - holgate and moone replace James and flood

75.5 mins - holgate taps in with first touch from Dunn cut back

75 mins - Williams, impressive on debut, replaced by Dobson

85 mins - moone cuts back for Dunn to make it 6

90+3 mins - keeper does a little spin before drop goal kick

Finished 6-0

On a serious note, we played exceptionally well to get 2-0 up at which point leamington started to lose their heads. However you can only beat what is in front of you and getting the third goal before the break coupled with the red card wrapped it up at half time pretty much as long as we managed the game properly second half. That we did and more and were totally professional throughout. Floody will take the plaudits for a great hat trick and it sounds weird to say this having won 6-0 but smart was immense covering at centre back today. In the first half when the game was still tight he did not put a foot wrong and I thought he was honestly our best player today.

On the radio it sounded like a great game, if you are a Slough fan.

Six goals, a hat trick for Flood (plus his first goal for the club), a debut goal for Holgate and probably most importantly a clean sheet which I am sure the defence and Scotty have been dreaming of after the last couple of weeks.

I was very impressed with Manny Williams. A crafty veteran who is in terrific nick for 35. He was everywhere.

Nathan Smart also impressed, doing an amazing impersonation of Guy Hollis.

The front two gave their back four a miserable afternoon, with Chris Flood scoring a goal of the season contender. Holgate looks a beast and scored with his first touch. It was an afternoon where everything came up Slough Town.

Funny old game football. We fail to take our chances in first 20 mins against Chipp and it is our undoing. We take the 2 we get against the Lemons and it is their undoing.

If ever two games proved that sport is 75% mental then these were it. We had plenty of time and ability to come back against Chippenham but our heads were not right. We completely got under Leamingtons skin early on and they lost it big time.

Well done to Bakes and Unders for the freshening up the team with personnel and tactics. Young Manny has a great touch and really increased our tick-over rate which pressured them. Smart was a revelation at CB , good call to be a straight replacement rather than move Fraser as previous games. We kept it tight and professional and got our just deserts. Don't think I have ever seen a team waste time to keep the score down at the end like that.

Last week I would have been happy to draw both games. But we are a point better than that. We need to carry that form into the tough Tuesdays we face away at Kings Lynn , Biggleswade , Cinderford and St Neotts.

Stan is spot on Everything went well for us and very little for them but lets not get carried away. Ive already had a Slough supporter tell me "if we can beat the league leaders 0-6 at theirs we should be able to hammer any side" Leamington also are having a very poor run at kickoff they were 15th in the home form league and can anyone say they looked like league leaders? The lads have once again tweaked the squad very well and our prospects are back on course Helped today by Banbury and Chesham losing

A game that had everything, 6 goals, two red cards, and a terrific hat trick from Chris Flood including a contender for goal of the season and most importantly an exceptional team performance!

Quite a few eyebrows were raised when the starting 11 was announced and we were starting the match with no natural wide players but instead starting with what looked like a narrow 4-1-2-1-2 diamond formation and it ultimately proved to be a real tactical master stroke from our managers.

At 2 nil we were in complete control and with Leamington looking shell shocked their discipline went out of the window and a deserved red card was given for what looked like an over the top two footed tackle.

From then on the outcome was never in doubt.

Some top draw performances all round including an impressive debut from Manny Williams, a superb hat trick from Chris Flood and a MOTM performance from Nathan Smart!

As said a brilliant display by the squad and Management.

With Guy's suspension and Warren's injury looks like a deserving rest for both has come at the right time of the season for both after this stunnin result.

A real Smart display with a flood of goals.

Two games against the leaders 8 for none against superb.

Lets now kick on.

Irishadrian, you can only play as well as your allowed to.

Agree that we can't get carried away with one very good performance but Leamington are top for a reason and on the day we were just too good from them.
