Leamington 28th + signings

So after four loses to start 2017 we face probably the hardest match so far on paper, Leamington away. We beat Leamington 2-0 at home but in my opinion they were the best team I have seen us play this season. We come into this game as underdogs and the pressure should be on Leamington to win to keep hold of top spot rather than us. I'm not expecting anything from this game so would see any points as good points, but if I can make it to the game I will be vocally supporting the team like every game this season and hoping for a good show.

There has been a few people over the last few weeks complaining about the lack of noise from our fans, and particularly from a few people who hardly ever get involved in making the noise themselves. So I would encourage EVERYONE, wherever they stand around the ground, to get together and help us make some noise and start some chants themselves rather than complain about any lack of noise after a match. We all support the team and want them to do well so don't be afraid to let them know it !!!

The latest newspaper article suggests Neil and Jon could be signing two new "attack minded" players, not sure if they would be available this weekend if they do sign. It is encouraging news and I for one hope we change up our play from time to time and consider changing our formation at times and with our current 442 we are very "predictable".

I think the 2 new players IF they sign (I'm guessing they'll be at training tonight and sign afterwards if all goes to plan), will be a winger and a creative central midfielder. Can't see it being another forward as it'll be too difficult keeping 4 decent strikers happy. Let's hope they sign and give everyone a massive boost ahead of game we can't afford to lose (draw and beat Kings Lynn would be great).

With 3 very good wide players in Wazza, Putts and Dobbo really cannot see either one being a winger.

My guess is two attacking midfielders or even one of them being a striker.

Wazza is coming back from injury, who knows how long it could take for him to get back to match fitness and form? Dobbo on his day is great and Putts isn't quite performing is he? I'd say it'll definitely be a winger possibly a striker LEM think about that one though...

Of the teams I've seen this season, I agree SRJ that Leamington have been the best, which says a lot about our beloved team as we beat them well at home.

Chippenham looked like they had quality throughout their team, too.

Losing Guy Hollis for a game of this magnitude is catastrophic but it is what it is and gives someone else a chance to shine.

As for any signings, I would favour a forward foremost.

On the noise front in the stadium, I do think having a lot of new supporters around is affecting the atmosphere, too, so we may have to be patient in creating an 'Anfield' !

Possibility but recently transferred to Hemel so not sure why he'd want to leave so soon.

He's alert! Actually he's now at Hungerford so he likes the move around a bit! Hopefully there will be some news/match preview this afternoon?

Yes, signed for Hungerford due to not getting game time at Hemel and now finds himself on the bench at Hungerford??

As you say likes to move around a bit.

Have seen Holgate play a few times in the past, can't say I was enamoured by him, was very much on the lazy and weak for a biggish lad bracket. Absolutely has a lot of quality though on the ball and so we will see what he can bring to us. Williams is also a good signing from what I have seen in the past.
