Leamington's floodlights

They've gone off again in their match tonight v Kettering! Happened recently v Chesham where they had to abandon the match. Surely if they abandon this match their should be some form of punishment, namely 15 point deduction which I'm sure we'd all agree is fair! Coincidentally (or is it...) both matches they were losing ??

They apparently said it was western powers fault but western power have disputed this and said the football club is to blame

Wow , first the Middle East, then tensions with Russia, now Leamingtons floodlights ,, will il the West never learn not to meddle . Maybe Trump will bring a change of policy.

No intervention , peace with Putin and guarenteed energy supplies to the East Midlands.

I agree with Glen regarding the number of courts but of course it is not for the courts to take action - rather those who may consider themselves to be libelled. Hammer rebel - you are making a conjecture. The point I am making is that whilst there is plenty going on in twitter world which borders on technically libellous I think the comments regarding the Leamington floodlight failures should be held until the facts are truly established. At present it seems to me that Leamington are being accused by some people of committing what would be considered a very grave act.

I don't honestly believe they would do anything dodgy but it's certainly an issue that needs resolving urgently because if it happened for a third time surely the league would have to take firm action? Problem is Leamington and the power company are both blaming each other which just complicates matters.

Then we are agreed Glen. My concern has been the insinuation in some quarters that they have been cheating. As I have said the facts need to be established. I agree that the whole issue needs resolving without further delay. However if shown that the failures have been due to a technical problem rather than someone "throwing the switch" then I have to reiterate that those comments have sailed close to the libellous wind.

Leamington have very recently received confirmation of passing their Grade B ground grading from the FA, the floodlights must have been working absolutely fine then so what could have changed since?
