POSTPONED - Cinderford 10th Jan

Highlights from their game this weekend vs Biggleswade.

A lot of highlights of Cinderford play but not very shots on target and the keeper didn't really have that many saves to make.

The pitch looked more like a marsh than a football pitch and will probably only get worse. It will be a very tiring night for our players with a long trip down then a very heavy pitch followed by a long trip home.

A tricky game but one that we need to win to keep ourselves up close to the top of the table.

Would not be surprised if the game was in doubt. Cinderford pitch is not the best when wet. Been damp and wet today in the Forest, and forecast for tomorrow is rain all day.

Not sure if a postponement would be good thing or not, for us?

We don't want a backlog of games come the end of the season but then it doesn't look ideal playing them on a Tuesday workday, after two losses, and what look's like it's going to be played in difficult conditions.

Only 11 minutes long but what the video does indicate is how difficult tomorrow night's game is going to be.

The video mainly shows Cinderford's attacking moves and obviously the goals but Biggleswade did seem to struggle to contain Cinderford and with better finishing Biggleswade could easily have shipped some more goals

Glen all I will say is they have beaten Chippenham and Merthyr at home on a Tuesday night, and also drawn with Weymouth at home on a Tuesday, so we will have to be on our guard and at our best to win the game.

I know Chris Nunn (Bigglewade) said they were extremely lucky to come away with the 3 points, and has given us some excellent feedback on what to expect.

We also have to remember they are a side in transition with a relatively new manager that has brought in a lot of lads from the Welsh leagues, so we will give them all the respect that they deserve, and not pre judge them on performances or results from earlier this season with a different side.

For those that do make the journey fair play and hopefully we can give you something to cheer about, and bounce back from Saturday, a win takes us to 3 points off top, still a fantastic position.

I think if we were playing a team who had lost every game 0-20 some would still be cautious/concerned!!!

I think all some supporters are saying is tonight's game will be tough and not the 'expected win' that some might think.

Cinderford are a different team to earlier in the season, add on the other factors of pitch etc. I think some people are quite right to be cautious/concerned.

RR I'm not saying it's a forgone conclusion IF we play tonight I just think if you're gozing into these games with a list of reasons that you might not win, it's a little negative whereas league positions should offer confidence surely. Yes they may have improved recently, done well against decent teams and have new players but the cold fact is they're still bottom! Let's be a bit more positive but not arrogant.

I have to say I agree with you.Cinderford are a different team from early season but no-one can accurately claim they are a BETTER different team. There has been no improvement in their points gained and no great enthusiasm on their forum for personnel changes In fact lots of adverse comments about their new goalkeeper against Biggleswade A few people have a default position that every team we play are very good and every team will be hard to beat Players read this forum and dont need to read that. They need to know that we have faith in their abilities against whoever.
