staines_rebel_Jr
I know lots of people have been wondering just when the main stand will be completed and this may provide the answer. http://www.sloughobserver.co.uk/sport/15007302.WATCH__Arbour_Park_Community_Sports_Stadium_on_course_for_May_2017_completion/
GlenSTFC
Surprised the main stand will hold 500 seats always thought it was around 300. I'm sure details will be released nearer completion but I'm hoping proper food may also be served in addition to the usual football grub? Also good to hear the stadium can be expanded to football league standard which gives us around 2 years to sort ?
A Rebel and a Saint
It's 250 to go with the 250 on the other side.
REBEL MATTERS
You'd expect when designing the stadium, thought should have gone in for possible future upgrades for the higher leagues. Got to aim high right, especially a club like STFC. Two years after this season must be the minimum aim for being in the Conference South.....or am I asking too much? GlenSTFC
Ok need to listen again but thought I heard him say this stand will hold 500.
GlenSTFC
I'm not going mad and was right, he does say in phase 2 there will be a new stand seating 500.
Matt
Would have to be 500 pretty small seats I'd have thought - unless the size of it is deceptive!
GlenSTFC
As I said looking at it I'd guessed around 300-350, so surprised too it'll hold 500, but Karl definitely said that and you'd hope he'd know! Looks like there will be 7 rows so there would need to be around 70 seats across each row.
staines_rebel_Jr
Reading back through the original Arbour Park thread, after ARAAS visited the site when it was still under construction (several months ago) the site manager said there would be about 250-275 seats in the main stand. So add those to the current 250 seats we have makes 500.
GlenSTFC
Supppse we'all just have to wait until to complete and then some anorak I'm sure will count them! Not that it matters as even 500 is plenty and satisfies the next league up.

David Carpenter
When phase 2 is complete Conference South requirements will be met. There are foundations in place to extend the east stand as required. I think the people involved in the planning are reasonably competent. Morgan Sindall are definitely so. staines_rebel_Jr
Plus on the side of the temporary stand there is plenty of space to install new stands, seated or standing. It would have been great to have raised standing areas on the sides like those at Holloway park, but that is something for the future.
David Carpenter
SRJ if by the temporary stand you mean the east stand then as I stated there are as I understand already foundations in place which would allow for the extension of the stand northwards and southwards. As far as I understand it the current 250 seater stand is permanent not temporary.
A Rebel and a Saint
Again, 250 on each side, 500 total. No temporary structures, and yes, the spaces either side of the two seating areas can be used to expand. These things have been in place since the very beginning of construction. Alan Greenaway
One observation I have so far is the WC facilities. These are in my opinion too small for any gate of 700+. There were queues outside the Gents for the Chesham game. It is a pity that there is no provision (at the moemnt) for facilities on the far side of the ground, Particularly for those who are not as mobile. Overall, still very pleased with the ground. GlenSTFC
There's also another set of toilets under the stand near the tunnel. I'm sure if we started getting 1000+ regularly we could install temporary or permanent toilets on the far side. On the question of further stadium improvements once phase 2 is complete, do we presume the council would pay if we had to have certain improvements for promotion or would the club have to pay (or maybe it'll be a joint venture)? staines_rebel_Jr
When I said temporary stand I meant to say the stand which originally was meant to be temporary but is now staying.
