It is not based purely on results, respect cautions/incidents are also taken into account
tringarmy
Must be the first time we've won back to back team if the month awards & I'm sure the 19 game unbeaten run is close to a club record. 99/00 might have been longer but will have to check
Tom24
Not being funny but you look at professional football awards and team of the months are based purely on the best team that month not the nicest team with good results, not really team of the month if the best team dont win the award
Munchkin
That's a really simplistic way of looking at it. Competition and level of opposition also count. Also team of the month at any level should also take into account previous form, so if a team has previously not been very good but then goes undefeated for a month that should be counted. Tom24
Exactly and Enfield won team of the month in September so clearly they were already playing well, Thame rangers beat a step 5 team in October and won every game
Munchkin
Could be just down to disciplinary then, which has been in place since last season.
Jonno
There's no rhyme or reason to it. Never has been. Just be happy that you didn't win it. The thing is a bloody curse. Not to mention the awkward photo you have to have taken with a league official.
Dailydose
It does seem a bit unfair as we can all agree many yellow and red cards aren't justified.
Karen Browne
Exactly and Enfield won team of the month in September so clearly they were already playing well, Thame rangers beat a step 5 team in October and won every game One of those Thame wins was 13-0 against Langley Galaxy in the Slough Town Challenge Cup. Langley Galaxy play in the East Berkshire League Division One which is Step 9 at best.
BigKen
Thanks for your support Tom and congrats again to Enfield, we will continue to do our best to beat whatever is in front of us be it step 5.6.7.8 or 9. There is always next month anyway!
Tom24
Doesn't matter who you play you can only beat what's put in front of you. I don't play for Thame and have nothing to do with them just think they deserved to win it
