My personal opinion on this is that we shouldn't even have to be asking, the information and updates should be forthcoming regularly from both Christine or other members of the council and Mr Deaner. So far we've had none?

I don't think it's a case of 'should we ask' but be asking why the information isn't coming to us regularly. If the response is there are no updates, why the hell not? It's been going on for long enough now or are the council and Martyn using this as some sort of smokescreen for other projects.

As many others have already stated, the silence from both the club and the council is deafening, and now more than ever we need some Xmas cheer.

Sorry Chris, but I am now getting very confused. I thought that there was a feasibility study under way to see if it is possible to develop a new stadium for Slough Town Football Club in Britwell.

I have tried all sorts of ways to find out if there is any progress on this - result - zilch - which seems to be all anybody else knows about it as well. Presumably if the Trust Officers are in touch with the Council, they must at least know if the process has started? If so, what is such a big secret that we poor suckers who support the club shouldn't know that it has and when it is due to report? Are are we just the big thick public, there to pay up and don't involve ourselves in big thoughts?

And as Gary says, surely they would want us to know that something was happening if there was? Why this total silence and why the reluctance to tell us? Why our reluctance to ask? Are we afraid we won't like the answer?

Is there any doubt in anybody's mind that the fans would like to have a meeting - with the Council, Mr Deaner (who did promise one, months ago), the Thornes - anybody who can help get us out of the mess we are in. Every season we seem to have promises, but achieve just a little bit less than the previous one and watch our situation get worse.

In my opinion, I don't think that anything has happened at all and it is just a big smokescreen to pretend that something is going on. If that is the case, that really would be something for the Trust to get its teeth into, if Trusts are allowed to bite!

The Observer is running a poll on the new Stadium at the moment, which many people including me have entered our comments. Is that part of the Feasibility study, or have the Observer reporters too got bored by the fact that they can't find out if anything is happening and decided to stir the pot in the hope of flushing something out?

Some months ago, I posted that looking at what needed to be done to complete all the planning, designing and building, it was going to take until 2010 before we saw anything happening. Alternatively if it all takes too long, it is likely that the club will not have met the ground and financial criteria for the higher leagues. By then we'll probably end up in the Slough Industrial League and will be able to play on the Burnham Cherry Orchard pitches cheered on by a dog, three magpies and a rabbit(and don't forget to bring your own linesman and flag) - problem solved - no need for a new stadium!

I am sorry to have a rant, but I suspect that many other people are feeling just as frustrated by the long wait for rescue during which we slowly slip under the waves. Maybe we all need to buy an STFC Lottery ticket!

I also think it's bad that Martyn Deaner hasn't told us anything. If he doesn't want to hold meetings then it wouldn't take much to, at the very least, communicate news through club representatives e.g Roy M. So if we haven't heard anything from him, then do we unfortunately have to assume that nothing has happened?
