Slough-V-Windsor

So it's our most anticipated match of the season, but do we have a chance of Beating our Landlords Peasant&Eton FC? Going by the latest form guide the Toffs should sneak it, but as we all know to well, when it comes to a fiercly contested local derby the form guide goes out the window.

Going by the last 4 games GD is the only thing seperating the two teams. Slough's record reads WWDW with a GD of +10, Windsors also reads WWDW but with a lesser GD of +4. However Windsors opposition was far superior to ours.

Windsor have only lost once this season and that was a norrow defeat at home to Lewes, they currently are 10 points ahead of us in 2nd place, we lie in 4th place but have lost an incredible 7 times already.

A win for us on Boxing Day would cut the gap at the top and cement our position in the promotion zone further and give us some of our pride back, a defeat would leave us open to attack from the rest of the chasing pack and we'd have to listen to the Windsor fans or fan taunt us until we could gain revenge later in the season.

So what does everyone think? What does everyone think the best staring line up would be and most imprtantly whats your score prediction????

I'd be surprised if Miller makes the squad given he's been injured and subbed in our last two games. I think it might be wiser to let him recover. That and the fact we looked a lot better with Hodge and Boot upfront on Tuesday night.

Anyway, my line up:

Fossie

Smurph

Daly

Moller

Steer

Harris

Wilko

Hyatt

Bartley

Hodge

Boot

Subs:

Browne

Payne

Bakishan

Miller (if fit)

Braich

Hopefully some of Gyoury, Barras, Haddow, Deaner will be available again soon if only to boost the bench.

It's a game where local heroes can be made. Let's hope he's wearing a Slough shirt.

Windsor will beat you. No question. If this wasn't a local derby would you be expecting to win or draw? I doubt it. That £25k a year your paying windsor is really going to show on boxing day.

hi there dave here maybe on that note a draw would be a bit of a shock too but still think slough will win by the odd goal evon if we are without key players.

That's about the only positive we can take over our landlords at the moment and given that that's faded a lot this season, we might not be able to hold onto that for much longer either

Happy Xmas Everyone!

hi dave shere againy and dissapointment no food availible at an early time. maybe should stock up on a game like this local derby with many there wanting food. christmas food humbug less windsors loss everyone lost on this one and dumpted by a windsor side defending every whole left and slough were dismal again. the team must wake up or lose out on the shake up and windsor could win the title if lewes slip up. and next is the non mouthwatering match at stompond lane. no more rain please at walton. see some of you on the day or on the coach thank you for chris s for putting my monica down as awfall ground and awfal ground to get to from the station as recently poor brighton rebel and me a few years ago find out to my cost with the sponsored walk and getting lost on the way to the ground on that day taking the rong section of newzealond drive and missing out cutting through sinsburys with blisters everywhere at least nevel roach made it worth while onthat day. looks like i may have to settle with met police and find this won blisteringly tough. also many moons ago the walk from the railway station to waltons ground memeries. lets hope this time we do it. let the water and rain come down and we can somehow scamble the points proberbly in iffy conditions no dout we now desperatly need this and three points just to keep us reasonably high and a slim chance of keeping the top six place alive.

hi domm dave here are you going to a match today if so which one as we may be able to meet at a match as possibly planned. we may well see other slough fans if we go. i may go to magpies v missonaires. beware i think the old guy on the gate i don.t think does consetions for stuedents even though there is an east berkshire college there and might well be at least £8. maybe if not as before not good at promoting extra stuedents for thease matches. i think windsor normaly give me some money off aspecialy lately as both of us are well known rebels and part of the gang. danger heavy rain elert for the afternoon so may be advisable to check which ever match you are planning to go to.

cheers dave programes
