Striker on Loan - Elijah Adebayo

Neil Baker

Recommended Posts

We can confirm that subject to FA clearance that 18 year old Elijah has signed on a months loan for the club from Fulham FC where he has been playing for their u23 side.

Elijah is a 6 foot 3 centre forward who we expect will be a real handful for defenders.

He comes highly recommended from a number of people at Fulham (players and management) and we look forward to him joining the squad on Saturday.

Fulham have been fantastic in allowing him to come to us, and we hope that this can open up other deals in the future.

We may be getting the best of both worlds with this signing His Fulham player profile describes him as a powerful centre back who has played as a forward We may well need him to play both roles during his stay Seems like a first class signing imo.

Yep think the profile needs updating, has always been a forward, however also got converted to a centre half for a year during his spell in the u18's, but been back as a centre forward in the last year.

Scored against a full strength Sutton United side pre season in Fulham's 3-1 win also.

Was playing in the u18's team at 16 also.

Neil  "Subject to FA clearance"  Are you confident this will be sorted by 3pm on Saturday?

Needs to be confirmed by midday tomorrow, but yes confident all will be fine, the paperwork is all in order as far as we are concerned and his league registration has already been accepted by the Southern League.

What a debut..... it's only one game, but he looks very good, and if he continues with that level of performance for the whole month I would expect his next loan move to be to a club a few levels higher.

Premature I know but If he bangs the goals in and enjoys himself why not stay with us for a little while longer?
