Basingstoke Town v Slough Town

Referee was terrible for both sides. He did makr the 100% correct decisions on Nis and the pen, but the way he refereed the game was shocking for both sides.

The first 20 minutes of the 2nd half were the worst way have played all season due to one thing and another, but this will always be the test of the team and the squad we have and really test our metal and title credentials. Got to make sure we bounce back against a very poor Dorchester side on Tuesday. Chalk this one up to a bad day at the office and move on.

After beating Frome 3-0 and getting a point against a re-vitalised Redditch side today, probably wrong and a bit disrespectful to say they are a 'very poor Dorchester side'.

That was a game of two halves as they say                                                                                                                                                                     Slough well on top first half but should have gone in three up                                                                                                                                      The early goal in the second half knocked Slough out of their stride then we lost our shape completely with the sending off                                         Do not like to rubbish refs but this one was poor,Stoke soon sussed this and every time they went down they stayed down                                      lets hope the injuries are not to bad this is really testing the depth of our squad                                                                                                            think this is only a blip so lets dust ourselves down and look forward to Tuesday COYR

Just one of those days today and it's how we bounce back that will tell us more about this group of players. Being a player that has won a championship at conference level before, I found that my team won things through being ruthless and having leaders throughout the park. Real winners. Do we at Slough have that? We have been on an exceptional run but now we will find out what player's actually do fancy it. Can't wait to find out. COYR

What ban will Nisbet get? And when will it start?

Couldn't believe the rash challenge from him today, not seen anything like that from him in previous matches.

I didn't think we played particularly well in the first half. There were too many basic errors, from Scott hitting Dobson about 1 in 3 times, to players not listening to calls from their own players, to misplaced passes and aimless crosses.

But the real problem was we got rattled and lost our composure when they started getting more physical...... and it shouldn't really effect a referees decision making or players reactions, but continual moaning at and berating of officials by fans doesn't help.

Best forgotten A perfect storm of problems today More than a few players well below their normal standards and a Basingstoke side rapidly improving (4 wins in Oct) after a poor start. But although Leamington have temporarily crept ahead with a third of our season gone we have lost just twice Thats championship form! We are still the team that has lost fewer points than any other team in our division We should feel confident and positive at home to mid table Dorchester imo and lets see the start of another unbeaten run.

It will probably be a 3 match ban as it was a straight red card. the suspension will start in 2 weeks time.

1 weeks time from the incident this season isn't it???

Terrible result but in a way it's good to get this run out the way and show we can bounce back from it and get back on another one! That's the true test of a team who can win the league! (Obviously rather we kept winning but hopefully you kkkw what I mean)

Roll on Tuesday

From my position the penalty would have been a foul if committed anywhere else on the pitch, referee missed handball when no10 knocked ball out of Scott's hands with his hand, then went down injured, should have been yellow for deliberate handball. Referee also missed no9 going down with no contact , and didn't caution player who took out Stoney, by the benches, in first half.

Biggest problem was Stoney coming off and Jackman playing left back, thought Fraser would go LB with Jackman  right back   but credit to Basingstoke who took game to us  and won. Move on and get another run going. How many times have we conceded 4 times in two games?

Two bad decisions from our centre backs killed us today. They've been superb as a partnership and a shame two rash decisions cost us so much. Both decisions spot on in my opinion. The red was a horror tackle and guys shoulder barge was very ice hockey-esque. It happens! Shame cos we could quite easily have been 3 up at half time. Onwards and we go again...
