Curtis
There was a thread recently where records were being discussed (can't find it now), and some were saying there was a season back in the 50's or 60's when the Club won a lot of consecutive matches..... David Carpenter can usually remember that far back.
GlenSTFC
David was just young middle aged man in those days.

GarySTFC
From the records I have and the wonders of Excel, here's what I can make out for league games only: Consecutive Wins: 13 is the record dating back to 1967 Nine: Concluding with a 2-0 win at Maidenhead on Boxing Day 1923 Eleven: Concluding with a 4-2 win over Polytechnic on 5th December 1925 Concluding with a 5-1 win over Uxbridge on 12th January 1952 Thirteen: Concluding with a 4-0 win over Maidenhead on 30th December 1967 Consecutive Away Wins: Ten is the record dating back to 1968 Seven: Concluding with a 4-1 win over Beaconsfield SYCOB on 15th February 2010 Nine: Concluding with a 5-3 win over RAF Uxbridge on 28th November 1925 Ten: Concluding with a 2-0 win over Hemel Hempstead on 16th March 1968 Without Losing: 19 game unbeaten streak in the league in 1952 and 1969 13 games: Concluding with a 5-3 win over Aylesbury United on 27th April 1922 Concluding with a 4-2 win over Marlow on 21st January 1939 15 games: Concluding with a 2-0 win over Wokingham Town on 7th October 1989 16 games: Concluding wiht a 1-0 win over Polytechnic on 23rd February 1924 Concluding wiht a 4-2 win over Polytechnic on 5th December 1925 Concluding wiht a 2-1 win over Finchley on 5th September 1973 Concluding with a 2-1 win over Basingstoke on 10th February 1990 17 games: Concluding with a 4-0 win over Finchley on Sat 29th October 1921 Concluding wiht a 2-0 win over Walthamstow on 1st November 1980 19 games: Concluding with a 5-1 win over Uxbridge on 12th January 1952 Concluding with a 2-1 win over Dagenham on 30th April 1969 Without Conceding (H/A League Games): Now, this is where it gets interesting. I can only find a run of five games in our history prior to the current run. Would need to confirm with Alan Smith, but I think this could well be a club record. 5 games: Concluding with a 1-0 win over Hornchurch on 26th November 1971 Concluding with a 2-0 win over Walthamstow on 1st November 1980 Concluding with a 2-0 win over Harrow Borough on 27th February 1999 Without Conceding (League Away): Five is the current record from 1968 and 1971. Four: Concluding with a 2-0 win over Harrow Borough on 27th February 1999 Five: Concluding with a 0-0 draw with Leatherhead on 27th April 1968 Concluding with a 0-0 draw with Maidenhead on 27th December 1971

Game of Throw-ins
Thank you GarySTFC, that is brilliant It would be great if the current squad have indeed set a new club record for consecutive league games without conceding (6 clean sheets). Would be great if we have discovered this new club record too, well the players and management team did all the hard work on the pitch but you know what I mean
Curtis
It would appear that the Athenian League Premier Division winners of 1967/68 are probably the best start point for checking records:- http://www.nonleaguematters.co.uk/nonleaguetables/lt1967-1968.html#ATH0 http://www.sloughtownfc.net/fixtures
Stan
I agree and really hope it is some sort of record that this current group deserve for their performances recently . Either way from Gary' s brilliant stats they are on the equal 4th best run of wins in Slough history. Not too shabby
Game of Throw-ins
It would appear that the Athenian League Premier Division winners of 1967/68 are probably the best start point for checking records:- http://www.nonleaguematters.co.uk/nonleaguetables/lt1967-1968.html#ATH0 http://www.sloughtownfc.net/fixtures Looks like it was a fantastic season, some of the records in Gary's stats appear to come from that 1967/68 season: Five consecutive league games without conceding, thirteen consecutive league wins, and ten consecutive away league wins. Seems like my thought that the 6 consecutive league clean sheets might be a new club is correct, other people who are also into the history of the club are saying that apparently it is too. Maybe someone will find otherwise, but the current team are still on a great run nonetheless and deserve all the plaudits they receive.
David Carpenter
Season 67/68 I was actually fairly young although young middle aged as per Glen came it seems rushing on and now of course it's old codger concession time. Without checking I recall the run of wins ended with a bit of a thumping (hope there is no repeat!). I think I am rightish that the average home attendance that season was 1463. It was an extraordinary season with as I recall 2 flying wingers Curley Stevens and Peter Wright. Records from a different era are of course difficult to compare. All I can say and there are I am sure there will be many Rebel supporters in agreement - this squad and management really excites me.

David Carpenter
Thanks SRJ - memory's a bit stretched - guess losing 2-1 to Hounslow must have seemed like a thumping!
rebelade
In 2016 Slough have kept 15 clean sheets from 33 league games , it's a great foundation for the start of any game
GarySTFC
Spoke with club historian Alan Smith last night who confirmed that recent run of not conceding was indeed a club record but we would have to go some way to beat the 30 games unbeaten, in all comps, from the late 60's, early 70's! EDIT - Found the run. 30 games in all comps starting on Mon 11 Oct 71 and ended with Enfield thumping us 5-1 on the 11th March 1972.
